  • Whoops, beat me by a few minutes. Shouldn't have asked my wife. I did find someone selling this on eBay for about ~$48. Costco would be best for returns anyway if you don't like how this performs.

  • main difference I saw with this one is the base unit which can hold 1L of water, so you don't have to keep manually refilling it.

    Are they any good?

Could I use this in between hanging my t-shirts on a clothes hangar to dry and hanging them in the wardrobe?

Is there a better option for time and efficiency?

Depends on your definition of 'good'. Looks like the steam rate is 20g/min which is on par with the phillips 3000 steamer ($49). From my understanding, the higher the steam rate, the more 'efficient' it is at getting wrinkles out.

Another thing to note is that the actual capacity of the unit is 60ml (with an 'auto refill' from the 1L tank, so you'd also have to have that out to refill from). Other comparable garment steamers seem to have 200-300mL (though the Phillips has only 100mL) so unsure how much you'd have to refill. I really enjoyed using my friend's phillips steam&go but it's more than double the price and also has 70ml (which seems to do a few article of clothings, so good if you only use it for a couple of pieces of clothing and not a full load).

I guess it depends on if you want something for 'on the go', in which case, there are better garment steamers (at least based on specs) but bang for buck, can't hurt trying.

I've been looking at portable garment steamers but haven't pulled the plug on any yet (tossing up between the kambrook swift steam @ $59 (light @ 0.9kg has 250ml water capacity) & russell hobbs one @ $99 (the steam flow rate is 30g/m and it has a 3m cord but it's a little on the heavier side at 1.5kg & 200ml water capacity)
