    Thanks… Perfect timing.

    Wedding anniversary coming up…

    • I can picture your other half’s response… “Stick it up your QNAP jv.”

jv: "OK, but first I'll need to check the compatibility list."

    • Holy Batman, I'm actually surprised you are married.

      • +2

Actual proof theres someone for everyone.

        • So you're legally allowed to marry yourself now? Interesting.

          • +1

@mafmouf: If someone can marry a rollercoaster. The world is your oyster.

  • For what purpose is this ?

    • Allows headphone and mic jack to USB

    • Like a new sound card for your computer.

    • +1

Useful for when the sound chip dies, like what happened to my laptop. Cheap enough to keep as a spare

Also might be able to use it with a phone through an OTG adapter

  • Will this work with integrated mic headphones? (ones with single 3.5 mm port for both?)

    • +1

Connectors: USB Type-A, Stereo output jack, Mono microphone-input jack

      it won't work

    • +1

Not sure, but it's possible to get a cheap 3.5mm mic port > 2x mic/audio if it doesn't, Though at that point it's not as much a bargain

      • +1

Yea might as well get a usb a to 3.5mm integrated i/o

    • +1

Buy this 3.5mm to Dual 3.5mm F/MM Headset Splitter

Best choice would be to get a USB C adapter from a mobile phone, then use a USB C to USB A adapter (if you don't have USB C ports free on your pc).

The Apple usb C/3.5mm dongle has excellent sound quality for the price, and works fine on a PC (but not on an Android phone).

The Samsung one is decent also, but falls behind the Apple one, only get it if you need to use the dongle with an Android phone as well

      • get a USB C adapter from a mobile phone,

I bought a UGREEN one USB-A to 3.5mm earphone with mic from Amazon and it is quite good.

FYI - these work on Ubuntu 20.4 but there’s no sound when the volume is less than ~50%.

This ok as a budget oscilloscope? Don't want to blow up my onboard if something goes wrong.

I use this for my HP N54L Microserver and works a treat.

For the more discerning and erudite audiophile, this deal may be more suitable:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/728444

"Sound BlasterX G6 USB DAC" - exact same function, but 180x the price :-)

    • +1

What a rip-off. True OzB'er buys 179 of the Kmart one and profits!

  • I saw this, but had zero use haha. Any luck I’ll need one in the future

    • +3

Thats why you repeat the ozb mantra. Buy now. Find use for it later.

      • +1

Don't buy stuff you don't need now, so you have money for things you do need later

        Fixed that for you.

        • Don't buy stuff you don't need now, so you have money for things you do need later

Not for cheap stuff like this one $1

    • As a ozbargainer, you never know when you may need it, you can plug it into your desktop front USB, if the front audio plug didn't work.

I bought it and ready for collection.

  • This is a must have buy for any gamerz out there, plug it in and I hear footsteps all around and has improved my performance in esport games 10 fold.

This also works with win-xp and android phone!
