Surprised by this price. It's about $100 less than I was expecting for a Brother laser colour printer with scanner, duplex and wireless.
The L3750 is $448 from OfficeWorks, which seems the best price going for it. From the specs on the Brother website, the only differences that I can see is the L3745 is 2 pages per minute slower, 200g lighter and 4 decibels quieter.

What's the quality like for photo/image printing? Doesn't sound good, but what issues are there?

Just got rid of my Epson inkjet - yes reliable and very happy with it for many years but ink would dry out due to low volume of printing in recent times. Went for the Brother laser - very happy
That's exactly why I bought laser too but at least inkjet cartridges don't need bloody batteries lol
Wish there was stock in VIC. Need a colour laser printer with scanner and this fits the bill perfectly
Got this one for 1-2 years, we don't use very often but looks good so far. Got almost everything like wireless printing, dublex printing, photocopy with tray and scanning with tray etc. Only inconvenience no dublex scanning. $330 should be very good price, i paid around $400.

Be careful of new firmware locking you out of 3rd party toners
Mine was working fine for months with the third party toner. I had installed new firmware awhile back but seems it didn't kick in until a power outage cause the printer to reboot.
After it powered back up, it kept showing an error on the blue toner - tried resetting the counter etc but no luck. Had to get 1st party toner and worked again
You need to get a third-party toner with an "updated" newer chip
This happen before to my brother MFC 2750DW printer and the ebay toner with the updated chip works

It's not the toner chip itself, it's the battery in the chip running out of power.
When the power is turned off at the wall (or there is a power outage), the toner starts using the battery which eventually goes flat.
You can fix yourself by removing the chip, changing its coin cell battery with a new one (goes by a few names LR521, SR521, 379, AG0), then putting it back.
I have the MFC-3770CDW and it happens to me about every 6 months, usually right when I need to print a heap of documents.

Yes there is a non-rechargeable battery in the toner.. It's nuts. I don't know why mine are going flat. Probably something to do with turning it off at the wall rather than leaving on standby.
