Not sure why website title says 4k when it's only 1080p.
Was on sale locally at JB an HN for $995 plus free battery on redemption but that sale price over.

The problem is 4K projectors at this size would require a lot more cooling, power, and subsequent cost. At best currently 4K projectors are "semi portable." Which basically just means a slightly smaller than a full-size projector. Definitely not something you can just chuck in a backpack and connect to a portable battery.
Most 4k Projectors are pixel shifters anyway They just move the dots around in a grid to simulate having a 4k image rather than actually having 4k. It is better than native 1080p but I bet it works out to just straight 1080 in high motion scenes.
So at this price this is actually a pretty great deal. At full price you're coming it to things like the Xgimi Halo+, which it falls quite short of. But at this price you're comparing it to projectors like the Anker Nebula Capsule, and this definitely has a leg-up on it and other mid-range portable projectors.

Buy it. When you recieve it, chat to amazon CS and tell them its not 4k. They should give you a choice of partial refund or return it.
Partial refund is usually 25% of the item or you could push them to 30-35% depending on CSR
You got this to work? Last time I tried to negotiate with Amazon about incorrect listing (s7 fe) they said tough tits send it back and you get a refund

I also wanted better in built speakers which I felt the Xgimi had.
And the extra lumens in the Xgimi, although the ANSI lumens quoted by Xgimi are a bit rich.

Just sharing this unbiased review so you know what you are buying, at this price it's definitely getting closer to worthwhile though.
If you don't care to watch a video for ~$500 more you can get much better alternatives with built-in batteries, but not much in this price bracket
Waiting for the Halo+ to hit ~$800.

As mentioned above, buying this and claim partial refund due to advertise as 4k might be better (personally I feel bad about it but it's Bezos's money making it slightly better. If it was Garry's it would have been a no brainer)

For what it's worth, I ordered this on 3rd September when the price was $756. Until today the item still hasn't shipped. I contacted them last week asking when it would be shipped, they told me it would be shipped by yesterday otherwise I would get a refund.
Half a mind to ask them wait until they have stock, and send me the difference. With such a long queue, I worry that if I cancel my initial order and reorder at lower price I'll be at the end of an even longer line.
Any thoughts on what I shouold do?
Yeah I called them as no movment on my shipping date and they were useless couldnt tell me anything.

I also dont think Amazon AU would give any credits for items sold by Amazon UK or for any of UK errors. More than likley this will just be refunded in full.
