  • anyone else getting 'This site can’t be reached' after putting in your member #?

  • did not receive the email and ad in the app , can i still sign up for profit?

    • It doesn't seem to have been a targeted offer.

Is it possible that you didn't get the offer in the app because you signed up for Flybuys within the last few days ?

Or, perhaps because you were a recent Disney Plus member ?

You could try contacting Flybuys support & confirming, if you want to be sure that you'll get the points.

just got another reminder from flybuys to signup , ok ok just signed up
how long will it take to get 4000 point ? is there anything to watch in disney +?

    • +1

Effectively being paid in points to watch classic TV comedy like Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, & lots more 📺
Can download movies etc to watch later.

Nice when multiple Deals arrive at once…

Plus 1 free movie rental in first 62days

Don't forget to cancel before end of month!
      Wouldn't pay for it.

      • +1

thanks mate, I am recording premiums channels by series now on Fetch, getting free premium channels on top of $99 mighty was a bonus isn't it ? I was looking for cheap Fetch deal for years until I found that one. These days, it is like entertainment bonanza isn't it ? :D

        • +1

Sorry… Too busy watching TV & streaming to answer😂

          • @INFIDEL: not traveling ?

            • @bazingaa: Travel? Don't have the time now! Maybe next year.
But watching travel docos - planning my escape…

Yes, series recording is great. Used on premium channels for first time last night. So easy.
Good idea to store those away for after Welcome Pack expires (next month).

Have to learn how to transfer recordings to HDD. Something I've done with TV & PVRs.

Luckily next free Boost SIM has arrived - more data for streaming!

              • +1

@INFIDEL: I found this project in GitHub and tested. I think it would be helpful for backing up recordings easily.
But I can only see FTA recordings in the DLNA server, so I think we have watch premium channel recordings on mighty itself or mobile app

                https://github.com/jinxo13/FetchTV-Helpers

                • @bazingaa: Was looking at old discussions on Whirlpool. Seems not easy.

A problem if Fetch fails - hard to retrieve recordings (one of the discussions). With my old PVR that failed - removed HDD & plug into TV via USB & watch recordings!

Python… Not that interested in programming - used to lecture in the field. Now live a simpler life (usually travelling)!

Not as easy as with dedicated PVRs. Used to connect 2 large HDD up to my old PVR via USB, easily transferring recordings. Or transfer files to PC to edit & play with an even older PVR.

As can record FTA to 2 old PVR & copy from there to external HDD, only that streamed content would be of interest to copy.

Guess for this month, won't record FTA to Fetch, just streamed content to view after subs end!

                  • +2

@INFIDEL: It is reasonably easy to copy FTA recording from Fetch to another HD using VLC player, but the subscription content is protected. Slightly annoying the episode description is not in the file metadata though

Welcome Bonus Pack free for first month (streaming Movie Box & all 45+ Channel Ultimate Packs)

        Thank for these tips.
Isn't the Welcome Bonus Pack added automatically during new user sign up? Or, did I miss this option somewhere?

        • +2

          Yes Dr C, added automatically.
Just wasn't expecting that bonus - a nice surprise.

  • -1

Can I sign up multiple times… $18x10 is $180 profit haha..

    • It says that the points will be given only for a "single one-off sign-up" so, you won't get the points more than once on a single Flybuys account.

  • Got another email reminder from Flybuys even though I already signed up using their promotion :(

  • Does flybuy really track if you canceled or not? Would they even know if you continued membership or are we all gonna have to chase up later??

    • I think you can cancel during the first month according to the terms, I will wait a few weeks

    • +1

You don't actually have to watch the TV to qualify for the points.

Sign up, pay the $1.99, find the cancellation button and wait for the points. Easy $18.

      • -3

id rather keep my details & data private thanks!

        • +3

You are very right to keep your details and data private. I'm with you on that too and never use my genuine details online for anything other than government business.

I use an alias name on my Flybuys card which is similar to my own name but not exactly my own name, an email address that is used exclusively for offers and I signed up with Disney+ using a prepaid Visa card. The prepaid Visa card I use is mainly just in case I can't find how to cancel or forget to cancel the subscription for anything I subscribe to. I also use a mobile phone number that I never answer which is just used for these offers that might require authentication codes to verify it's a real mobile number. They can use that number for direct marketing as I'll never answer I don't care.

If you use a Flybuys card they know exactly what you've bought in fine detail so if you are very protective of your data then you wouldn't be using a Flybuys card at all.

I hope you've read the Privacy Policy in detail and not just agreed to it without reading it. It's found here -> https://experience.flybuys.com.au/policies/privacy-policy/

@mysterytal: Technology has advanced well beyond those measures now.
Many retailers use face recognition which they associate with individual profiles which can include you payment methods, even your reaction to various people and items in store can be profiled. Kmart and Bunnings wee famously exposed for this recently.
There is phone surveillance whereby your phone's profile is followed in-store and around shopping centers to gather your shopping habits.
There is an emerging technology that supposedly is at least the equal to face recognition: gait recognition ie they way your body physically moves.
As computing power, camera tech and AI increases there is less and less escaping the hidden hand of surveillance and profiling!
Note: this article is from 2016, things are more advanced now.

  • Signup and paid with Hiver card.

  • +1

    Just signed up, thanks OP!

  • +1

Just signed up on the last day just to be safe, fingers crossed they don't stuff up the points :)

  • +3

Well I just found out Disney will only accept the same payment card details for 5 different accounts.

    • Are you using the Flybuys app to switch accounts? Trying to sign up my accounts but there’s no log out option in Flybuys (iOS), very strange.
Will just have to sign them up on desktop looks like.

      • I most definitely see a log out option in the iOS app, last option in Settings (last tab view), in blue text.

No need to click through from Flybuys app though, they definitely point to the same URL sign up page in the OP.

I use Stocard to bring up each account barcode as required.

        • Yeah it's disappeared for me suddenly, scrolling down and the option isn't below Terms and conditions like it normally is. App's updated and refreshed, still nothing.

    • A flybuys connoisseur!
How many accounts do you have? I only have 3 and usually do alright alternating between colesworth. Do you find you need more and how do you redeem points?

      • +1

I have 18, and for the most part don't need that many. I'd say 3 is too few though to hit different optimal levels of minimum spend for offers.

Using a python script I wrote to display and activate offers on each card, keep track of points / FB dollars and redeem points to dollars when there's enough. I haven't implemented logging in with email/card and password yet so you need login tokens to use it, which for the average user are not easy to obtain.

    • Hey cooni, how did you find this out?

Edit: I'm assuming you were inputting the card details on the website and it stopped you on the 6th attempt.

      • Yes. By the 6th account it rejected the payment.

Tried a different card and it worked again for 5 accounts before it started rejecting again.

  • +2

Signed up just now, last day, via the flybuys app. Let's see how we go.

    • I bet we all wishing had waited until the last day as more likely to receive points before cancelled it…

    • Same here, but how would we know if its tracked or not ?

      • +2

We don't. That's part of the "let's see". But provided you followed the link, entered your FB number and signed up to D+ without reloading the page, etc, you should be fine.

  • Disney+ APP throwing me Error Code 83 /

    • Just do it on browser, login flybuys and follow the link of disney.

      • had to re-install and enetered my Fb# and it took me back into Disney app to renew, fingers crossed, cheers :)

  • +2

Has anybody received their flybuys points yet?
& how long did it take? Thx

    • +1

      No, haven't yet.

    • +1

      Negative.

    • +5

Lol it's been one day since the promotion ended, they said it will be within 4 weeks.

    • -1

      Yes.
      Wait, I meant no.

    • Let's wait and pray

      • Pray to Walt Disney?

When You Wish Upon a Star!

  • -6

Did anyone got the flybuys points yet. I didn’t get any yet

    • +1

The more people ask, the longer it's gonna take.

    • +4

When someone does, and I'm sure they will, you will know straight away, trust me on this.

  • +1

Anyone received their flybuys points? Wifey reckon we got scammed $4.00 by Disney lol

    • Weren't you only scammed $2?

      • +1

Accounts for him and his missus.

    • Yea didn't get anything and was a new sign up

    • To be fair it hasnt been 4 weeks since the end of the promo yet

    • lol but you still get a month of disney plus

  • +3

    Still no points

  • +7

Wheres our points??? Also remember to cancel your plan.

    • Thanks - cancelled this morning.

  • Can we cancel and still get the points?

    • +9

The deal was we got points for signing up - not to be a life member.

  • +3

I cancelled immediately. Figured I might forget, plus the T&C seemed clear it was 28 days after registering, but didn't want to take the risk of dishing out $10-15 to Disney since I don't use Disney+.

Few days now, hopefully the 4,000 points come through!

    • +1

T&C's were 4 weeks after offer end date, it ended 19th Sept so points could still be given up to 17th Oct before we can chase it up

      • Let’s hope so!

    • +1

      do it

    • LOL! Flybuys is deeply offended by your impatience.

  • My next payment would be 12th Oct so I've got a reminder set to cancel on 10th. Haven't used it at all by 4000 points for $2 was well worth it.

    • +2

Same dates for my payment + cancelation, though we have used it non stop & now have no more new content worth binge watching.

  • Still waiting as well

  • +1

In the same boat, waiting for the points to load

  • -5

Nothing received on both accounts yet.

  • Looking unlikely that Flybuys will pay up by the 12th which is when most people signed up. Will you be cancelling anyway or paying for a second month?

    • +1

      I've already cancelled.

    • Shouldn't need to keep for second month - so even if we do cancel they should still pay based on T&Cs

    • +1

Its 4 weeks from end of offer date (19th) not when you signed up. So still a week to go people

  • +3

    shafted by Mickey

    • +2

Michael Mouse is no friend of mine

    • Haha, I'm picturing the South Park version who is an evil prick.

  • +3

    Cancelled mine as well….
$2 lesson learned… never trust talking mouse in a pants

    • Points should still be added soon

      • Hopefully…

    • Wouldn't it still be around $6 profit if the 2nd month subscription fee is charged? Am I miscalculating anything?

      • +3

There's no guarantee flybuys going to pay up, even after paying 2nd month.

My experience with flybuys is always hit n miss. My multi-week shopping bonus didn't get tracked from time to time.

        • I've noticed with multi week shopping bonuses that the offer sometimes randomly disappears for a few days between weeks. If I make a purchase while the offer is not displayed in the app, it doesn't get attributed to the multi week deal.

So now I make sure to check the offer is showing in the app before making what would be a qualifying purchase.

          • @wavesgreen: keep the receipts cos they'll say you've completed week x challenge
