Ring Spotlight Cam (Battery & Wired Versions) $219 (Was $279) @ Bunnings (Price Beat $208.05 @ Officeworks)

130

Needed some Ring Spotlight Cameras this week and found this deal at Bunnings. Not sure of when they finish but they weren't at this price on Monday.
There is limited stocks per store so I would see which had stuck. Plenty in the warehouse. Use the bunnings website to find stock.
I think there is other discounts on other Ring products but I wasn't tracking them.
I did pricematch with Office works but each store only keeps a few as well.

Cheers

  • anyone use, in direct sunlight? hows it fair in the aussie summer sun?

    • I've just installed it in a sunny area. Direct sun in the mornings. The battery version can use a solar panel for charging,

    • Installing in direct sun wouldn't be a good idea. Couldn't see any camera lasting long like that. Under an eave or something is the way to go.

      • house is high-ceilings, and side of the house, so no eave, not worried about vision during the day either, we have cameras front and back already too.. hmm might just go security lights at this rate lol

    • +1

have a wired version for the past 5 years over the garage door facing North so it gets bang on the Sun for most of the day - no problems at all.

    • I have used this for a few years now through all kinds of weather and it holds its own will not disappoint, range is awesome can cover a whole front yard easy also with a solar panel i think i may have had to charge the battery once manually during the middle of winter and i have it to detect almost everything

    • A few year on and all good. But imho i prefer the Spotlight camera, much better light output and night vision. But the Floodlight will be ok if you just have a small area to light up.

  • Subscription required to use alarm feature? I think issue with ring is, they want subscription after a year ?

    • +1

If you need recording yes. Had a ring door bell for years without a subscription. Live video was all I needed then.

    • +1

You get movement notifications without a subscription but it won't auto record video.

  • I've had 3 Ring outdoor cams all mounted in direct sunlight ALL DAY and fully exposed to rain for over a year now. None of them are showing any signs of sun damage or wear and tear and have had no issues at all.

Would recommend Ring products to anyone any day as the best bang for buck.

Recently added an indoor powered one in our baby's room as a baby monitor and it's amazing! So much better quality than the actual purpose built baby monitor we had before…

Now, about the monthly sub. If you have more than 2 devices it caps at $14.99 weather you have 2 or 20 cams setup around your house. For the features it provides, live recordings in cloud etc. it's already worth it. Now add the fact that as long as you maintain your sub, ALL CAMS are covered with lifetime failure and theft warranty. YES LIFETIME, so if someone decides to smash one off the wall and take it…you get a new one FREE! I understand some people are super tight and anal about sub services, but this is not one to complain about…

From someone who got broken into 12 months ago and had over $6k in computers, consoles and other valuables stolen which prompted me to finally buy cams, these cams are so so worth it!

    • thanks
