Not sure something like that exists yet, though feel free to prove me wrong, I'm slightly interested in this too.
To take advantage of the full sequential speeds you would need USB4 40 Gbps.
A USB enclosure that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 will give you 20 Gbps, so roughly 2.5GB/s transfer speeds.
Something like this:
Simplecom SE528 Enclosure
Probably cheaper ones out there but that's what i found via a quick google search.duh so expensive the case.
well i may get this instead https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/723708
half price and hunt for the casei dont need 40gbps
ah sorry the other post i said is different its normal ssd
A little pricey. The Samsung 980 Pro 1TB was $156 delivered from Amazon UK earlier this week. Mines due for arrival on the 20th Sept.
Bought 980 Ppro 1TB for $157 with heatsink (should be delivered in 2-4 weeks), got a question. Do i still use the motherboard heatsink in gaming PC?
Yeah why not, looks neat. Use the heatsink on another one.
how much is the cheapest external closure (but not reducing the transfer speed) for this kind of storage?
(from aliexpress is fine)
