How would you judge this?! Whether something is 2x or 10x as good or worse?
I have this ceramic heater and efficiency wise, it's all the same as all electric heater converts 100% electricity into heat.
What this ceramic can do though is temperature control, eco mode(intermittently turning on and off), swivel so heat distribution is better and more heat output than a $20 heater due to bigger wattage. Just be mindful when using it as this thing could easily eat up 20-30kWh a day when it's operational
I’d also just note that as far as I’m aware there’s no child lock on the buttons and they are easy to press by accident. My dog has turned it on a few times.
Maybe your dog was cold
Temperature control is the best thing since sliced bread. We have a Dyson and I set it to 17 or 18C when we sleep so it ONLY turns on when it hits that temp. Helps not having it on the whole night or day - so that is a plus. And the costs goes somewhere.
Side note, my Dyson heater has been going stron gfor 7-8 years now.
Whixh model do you have?
I don't know… but on a similar note, the guy who bought these cheap batteries battery-warning-after-ryde-house-fire may be regretting his penny pinching choice.
Silliness aside, I've got this heater for at least 2 winters… left it turned on on eco mode for whole nights and days with no perceived impact on my electricity bill. The base could be a little stronger, it got damaged once when I dropped it. It is very safe, and it has a remote control.
I have this for winter WFH. Works very well since because the height is around the same height as I sit. Heats up very fast and the fan distributes the heat well. Has tipover detection too which might be useful if you have kids.
Just wondering, OP - Is this 10 times better / more efficient than a $20 bar heater or fan heater? Or maybe twice as good?
