  • Can anyone recommend a decent carry on bag? I searched on here, but could only find some old threads from about 4 years ago recommending this —-> https://theluggageprofessionals.com.au/products/samsonite-72…

    Anything better/cheaper now?

    • RipCurl outlet has some good carry ons

      solid as TightArses deals

I have both a samsonite and a Kathmandu duffel bag. The samsonite weighs 1.5kg and the Kathmandu 700 grams. Samsonite useful for business travel where I have shirts I don’t want disturbed, Kathmandu always lets me take more weight then Jetstar allows cause of its shape - it never gets questioned. It also fits way more in and always fits fine in the baggage test station if required.

      • The above linked kathmandu is 2.15kg can you send link for your bag?

      • I’ve got the Kathmandu fold up duffel and a fold up backpack. Gives you options for carry on storage and they are light.

I think this is the one I have. On 4-6 flights a month with it. Been great so far. Using it about 12 months now

    • I saw some amazingly cheap carry on luggage at Coles for $0.15… weighs almost nothing and can hold about 5kg 😜

  • It depends on what you want it for.our carryon is day pack size and can be stashed under the seat. Makes fir easier exits off the plane.

    Beats getting Joyced

  • Flights are insanely priced these days. Trying to find a decent priced flight anywhere during sept schools holidays from Melbourne is minimum in the 1000s. Airline CEOs are just gouging post Covid consumers with no recourse.
