    • 65X90K for $1,579.60 with eBay Plus using PAUGSEP12
    • 55X90K for $1,315.60 with eBay Plus using PAUGSEP12

Get a month of eBay Plus for $4.99 to get the price if you don't have it.

    • Damn that's insane given it was $2500 everywhere yesterday.

Wonder if they'll give a price guarantee on this when I pick it up. Wouldn't mind saving an extra $200

      • Might be best to call them first as they might not honour an eBay discount in store, or otherwise order on eBay and cancel your existing order as you'll lock in the discount.

      • I am hoping/wondering if this is a sign of X95K being released in Australia soon. Other regions of the world have it for quite some time now.

          Available soon

It looks great, especially for reflections which are a problem in my case.

Checked with VideoPro earlier in the week and they said around 6th Dec was their last update, pretty sad releasing a 2022 model in December lol.

        • I s/w the main TV guy at my local JB when i finally gave up and bought the display model 65 x95j. He said they've been told November for the x95k's and their display wall will stay empty til then. Supply issues. They have the A'K series, i just don't want oled right now

          • @Cheapkiwi: What a shame. By the time the other brands will be promoting their 2023 models.

In that case I might switch to the TCL C835/C935.

    • Thanks! My order just got confirmed by TGG

    • 65X90K listing has ended. looks like theyve caught on and removed it

    • Ended

  • Is X90K = old X90J?, is the leg movable to the middle like the X95J?

    Hope 75" will be cheaper.

    • Is X90K = old X90J?

Reviews seem to think it is worse…

  • Is this better then the X95J?

    • +1

      No.

    • No

    • +2

Apparently not even better than the X90J.

"The Sony X90K is the successor to the Sony X90J, and it's not worth the upgrade if you already have the X90J "

"Not worth the upgrade if you already have X90J", of course, nobody will upgrade from X90J to X90K XD

But overall not too bad for the price

        • +2

Exactly! These sites think people actually upgrade their tv every year?? Why even mention it. This is the sort of behaviour thats contributing to climate change and giving us wild bushfires. In addition to all the private jets used by celebrities.

        • To complete the quote - "it's not worth the upgrade if you already have the X90J or if you're deciding between the two TVs"

If you can find a cheaper X90J get that.

          • @happydude:

If you can find a cheaper X90J get that.

Not much stock around and not cheap for some reason.

Because as soon as the average reviews of the K came out, all the J's got snapped up.

    this or TCL 825?

    • 65" TCL 725 was $888 at JB

      • +4

why do people keep asking those questions? they are not even the same tier. like asking a 4" organic or 7" normal banana

        • +3

          But I like comparing a Holden to a Porsche…

        • Would be helpful to explain which is organic banana or what the pros and cons are.
I'm sure for people that don't know much about TV, 65" TV looks pretty much the same as other 65" TV, especially without looking at the physical item in store
Features can only mean so much especially if they are mostly marketing terms and there's not much standards to go by

          • @Ceri: well if they don't spot differences, then just buy whatever they can happily afford. asking which oneto choose between a $2000 TV with a $1000 TV is not bright.

            • @ntt: @ntt Its how people learn. Yes they can search google … but if you don't know what to ask then you don't know what to ask. (Not defending this guy/gal though … they didn't give us much to go off)

        • +1

why do people keep asking those questions? they are not even the same tier. like asking a 4" organic or 7" normal banana

TCL 825 was around the same price from Myer not long ago.

        • why do people keep asking those questions? they are not even the same tier

TCL825 and SonyX90 are around the same price point so it's a good question to ask IMO.

Rather than talk bananas, why don't you tell us which model you think is better and why?

    • Myer C825 sold out and C835 more expensive

      • :(

        • I did have a chance to buy the 75" Myer C825 but I didn't because a bit worry about the QC of TCL and also didn't like the bottom soundbar on the 825, the 835 looks better.

  • +1

The 65" X80J was 988 at jb hifi when i went past on monday

    • +2

X80J is a totally different TV compared to the X90J and this X90K.

Completely difference price range, so everybody should save up the extra dosh and get Benz not Corolla.

65 inch c1s can be had for under 3k. $1200 isn't insignificant, but it's more than worth the extra cost

      • A55J was $1700 at JB a few weeks ago. So if you were lucky enough to snag the right price, that's barely more than the $1500 X55K.

        But on average you're right.

I don't think it's a price error; I think they're clearing out these models because 8K is coming in

I was replying to this comment.

I imagine there is going to be a price crush for top end LCDs. With Samsung introducing OLED and Chinese panels entering the market, fancy led will find it hard to find a market.

I jave the 75inch x90j. Had it about 1 month and absolutely love it. Flawless.

    • +1

      I jave the 75inch x90j.

      Want to find it cheap.

    • Except for the poor reflection handling and backlight blooming it's not bad. I don't think it was worth the high prices they were asking though. This is more accurate.

      • I don't have back-light blooming and reflection is no problem in my room.

        • I don't have back-light blooming and reflection is no problem in my room.

I am not sure why people kept talking about this blooming problem on LG, Samsung and now even Sony.

          • +1

@superforever: Because they are still lcd unfortunately. Even with full array backlight, they still bloom

            • @onlinepred: Until Micro LED makes its way into the consumer market ;)

              • +1

@Maths Debater: Yep I'm ready and waiting for decently priced micro led! I think it will be a very long time though. I imagine OLED will get cheaper before then anyway.

          • @superforever: Probably because they need to tweak the settings and Also update the software. My Sony is great.

        • Perhaps you just don’t notice it? It’s in all the reviews, and it’s on my TV. If you watch it at night it’s quite noticeable.

          • @onlinepred:

If you watch it at night it’s quite noticeable.

            You mean very very dark?

People said LG IPS blooming, no good and now Sony blooming no good and OLED not bright enough no good and …………..

            • @superforever: No, as in evening dark. With lights off it’s very bad. IPS is terrible though. These are va.

  • Did anyone get a screenshot before it was taken down ?

    • I did. Updated the post with it :)

  • This was a crazy deal, spoke to someone from TGG and they couldnt believe it was this price

    Too bad its all gone

    • Still available at TGGC.

      • How much is the 75" on TGGC? TIA

        • I think no 75" yet for X90K

      • No longer any X90K's showing on TGGC.

  • I even called them up and they said its 2.5k
Had no idea about the online discount
