I will say no to Zyron. I have two Zyron GaN chargers which both have issues and Zyron asked me to send a video demonstrating the issue. I did and got no more reply.

OOI, which models and what issues?

      I had one DOA

sent quick video with a iPhone cable plugged in and not charging and they shipped out a new one a day later.

I just contacted them again and they said they will send a replacement. I will come back and keep you guys posted when I get the replacements.

wow, sounds like high failure rate.

          • @DarthLord: Sounds like you pay twice the amount as Heymix and get twice the amount of problems!!

          • @DarthLord: Cheaper chargers generally have a higher failure rate which is reflected in reviews. As long as said failures aren't dangerous, that's just a part of buying them.

IMO, how the company responds is the more important factor here.

          • @DarthLord: Its not 2 in 5 chargers. We've sold over 5K chargers over the last 12 months.
DOA's and failures are not uncommon.

            See feedback even for Belkin:

Having said that, we aren't happy either. We are still fairly new and trying to improve constantly. We'll reach that Anker level in the coming years.

Not unless you start engineering your own designs

              • @0jay: Yes of course. Anker wasn't launched with a self engineered product either.

@DarthLord: My 65w Zyron version was DOA and replacement went faulty 6 months later.
2 Heymix versions and 2 Minix versions of the same are still working fine.

    • I reckon it would be Powastone 65W which we have stopped selling while we completely replace the stock. Some of the units have issue with the ismartware chipset. The next batch will have no such issues. All the warranties will be respected.

      • Is the Powastone 65W better made?

        • Yes, the chipset issue is resolved. The remaining stock was dumped and fresh stock is on the way. It comes from the Heincro that manufactures for Baseus.

          • @ibelievesyd: Just curious, how many ports does the upcoming 140W USB PD 3.1 charger have?

  • Yet another deal by Zyron Tech

    Just what we needed.

It's about $8.50 more expensive than last time.

    It's also cheaper on aliexpress.

  • I just wish they had a 3 prong variant so that you don't get that weird 'buzzing/electricity' sensation when used on a MacBook. Does anyone have any other alternatives that don't have this issue?

    • I've only ever seen 3 prongs on full brick + IEC cord chargers, and not on these mini types.

      I just embrace the power.

      • So far as I can remember, their 108W charger has 3-prong plug.

    • what causes that? its a pet peeve on my MBP
