  • That's a pretty good price

  • Thanks OP, got one to replace my lock that I'm fairly sure will snap its key off shortly..

  • 100% claimed already before I could check out, darn it!

What does the LPL say about it?

    • +1

from what i could find, he has reviewed the old model, not this one

    • Not the exact same appearance but same style lock etc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ9ZGgLkfJo

      nothing on one
      a little click on two
      nothing on three
      click on four
      aaand we’ve got this opened

    • Nobody is going to pick the lock on this, or use the lock on a fancy bike.
All you need to know is that it will defeat common bolt-cutters, but not an angle grinder.

And it is a lot better than the $18 k-mart lock.

Back in stock for full price.

  • I don't get why bike locks have keys made of butter. Bend so easy

    • +1

nor why they dig out the back for their trashiest metal for the actual lock, then melt it down with aluminium to make it even trashier.

    • +5

Because people want them for $20.

Reminds me of my mate's dad once, bringing the kids' bikes into the garage and groaning "look at all this rust, they don't make them like they used to." No sh1t dude, the bike cost $50, back in your day it cost a weekly wage - what do you expect? Pay a weekly wage now and you'll get something that is miles better than what you had in your day.

      • back in "his" day, he could buy a house with only one income and milk came in glass bottles

I feel like based on reviews even just here on ozbargain the above deal is better

I also found it hard to fit the Via "mount" comfortably on the bike and the ABUS has served me much better
