@Everest99: Yes, I did online check in, still took long time because of inefficient system or untrained staff to process and print the labels for a bag. (it was well with in weight limit)
Lady at the counter keep blaming the system, I felt she was not sure what she was doing. She has to call 2 different staff member to help her. It was at 5 or 6 am.
@Everest99: Waiting for Cathay to open up flights as well. Their service was not bad but their airport lounge was fantastic!
@nightelves: yes, but the tickets will be expensive. Do you have any recommendation on BKK lounges? I have crypto.com card and looking to use it.
@Everest99: I'm booking via awards so cheaper for me but I expect ticket will be expensive. I'm terms of lounge I have access to OneWorld elite status their utilise the lounge from them. I only use Lounge Key provided by crypto.com if there's none that are provided by the airline.

@b2dz: hmm, i'm around ~1600ish at the moment, including whatever the Gold rollover was - maybe 300 or so? so I did upgrade from gold to plat this year.

No beef with you OP, but Qantas/Joyce get a solid neg. The heart & soul of our formerly proud national carrier has been shredded. The best heavy engineering team in the world disbanded. Customers treated as cattle. That little (mod: edited) twerp ought to be strapped to the number 5 pod (on a resurrected 747) and sent home.

The only true Spirit of Oz is Bundy with which you can at least get drunk and at least feel good.
With the Qantas spirit all get now are flaky ghostly visions and distant haunting memories of what was once a decent airline. NO more I'm afraid, gone forever.
Why would you bother? Overpriced compared to the competition, zero customer service (Aunt Betty has better), bailed out with $$$ of taxpayer money, and they shafted all their workers. Spirit of Australia? I certainly hope not!

AJ has ran a previously world-leading airline into the ground in the last half a decade - and the process started well before COVID.
So you have to book by 30th November to use the $50 voucher.

I used to fly almost weekly for business and would always insist on Qantas, now it's the opposite.

if overhead luggage compartment is full before you board the plane then it is your problem, cabin crew will walk away or they will watch you from distance while you struggle.

i would rather fly with no service airlines like jet star, air asia or scoot atleast i would have to pay for full airline fare.
