Tpg running a special on nbn 100/20 plan. $10 off for the first 6 months. Not a bad deal for 100mbps plan.
Plus:
Purchase a new NBN compatible modem/router from a third party retailer and receive a $100 credit on your TPG account

Best thing to do is leave then come back after 6 months
loyalty gets you nowhere these days
I'm not on any contract and free to leave TPG whenever I please. Offers look interesting and a sample of 100mbps from 50mbps for same price is enticing.
Exetel - $68.95 for the first 6 months, 100/20 same plan. Heck even better than the plan you posted…
@Magicmannn: Careful with Exetel, you need to give them minimum 30 days notice before leaving. Superloop I'd pick, basically the only provider I had with no issues out of 5 or 6 companies. Although they didn't have the insane max DL speed of Telstra. But Telstra sucked at everything else.
More Telecom $69.30 for 12 months if you are a CBA customer…
I got this deal 6 months ago so i'm not sure if it went away and is back - but who's more reliable than TPG (service/speed/cost wise)?
loyalty gets you nowhere these days
Loyalty with TPG will pay dividends as it has with me. Had free modems, discounted payments for a limited time, months of free Internet access upon requests and now am on NBN Home Ultrafast plan for $100/mth (fixed) for the duration of my sub. đź‘Ť
Be nice if they extended to existing customers that have been with TPG for the past 10 years……
Switch providers…
These 6 month specials are usually coming from NBN not the ISP.
They used to be but now they are to attract new custlmers
It's always been for new customers only.
Same here mate
$68.95 for the first 6 months at Superloop and Exetel, and even their normal price after 6 months is cheaper than TPG's normal price. No deal.
Provides another churn option on the rotation.
It might have changed, but anyone planning on joining for 6 and leaving, TPG had some odd "in writing" with a month notice in their ToS awhile back.
They still require 30 days notice. Inform them one month before the 6th month ends.
I just got an email that my TPG 50Mbps plan will increase by $5/mth from $69.99 to $74.99 from 21/09/2022.
Their website still shows the old plan price.
I would expect their 100Mbps plan price will also increase then.
There is a note in the link that says 100 plan unaffected by the increase
Ah, so there is. Thank you.
No point in me staying on the 50Mbps plan then.
More Telecom $69.30 for 12 months if you are a CBA customer for 100/20…
Why say this so more
It's moreish…
$1.30 more than ExeLoop
12 months vs 6 months
Really…oh no, still got 8 months contract leave with TPG!
Got the same $5 increase email. I noticed on the website now it says NBN 100 regular price is $89.99 or 79.99 for new customers for 6 months.
Yep no increase for 100+ plans
Same on their 25Mpbs plan. There are a lot of good alternatives out there but I've been too lazy to look.
If you're with Vodafone (a TPG subsidary), their 100/20 plan is only $80 a month ongoing plus comes with 4G backup.
https://www.vodafone.com.au/nbn
The Vodafone modem (a Netcomm) is a piece of trash though, I've replaced it with an Asus but keeping the Netcomm for the 4G backup in case it's required.
Looks like it requires a phone plan to get that price
Looks like it's $85 with the 4G backup. $80 BYO modem, no backup. Still decent, and will likely churn when prices jack up even though I can't actually hit anywhere near that speed…
Customer service is terrible in TPG, I was with them for almost 9 years every time I had issue was unsolved.
I get that customer service is bad, but why did you stay for 9 years with unresolved issues?
Too much loyalty
How does this compare/differ with their 5G 100Mbps for $65/month? My parents are thinking of switching from Telstra NBN 50Mbps currently paying $75/month.
TPG is terrible. I was their customer for 10 years. They don’t give a shit about existing customer, and they don’t know their shit either.
When 100/40 reduced to 100/20, they didn’t even communicate properly. They just send a letter saying “ah, nbn changed the plan, you need to pay exactly the same, and I will give you less”.
Whenever internet is down (like nbn scheduled or unscheduled maintenance), I call them, they will lodge a ticket and don’t even know what happened. When internet is up again, their support will contact you start “diagnosing” issues next day.
TPG use vlan id: 2, that my mesh routers don’t support and they don’t have any solutions. I have to use their shitty router and VOIP phones, which I pay for years and used once a year. (It’s my choice I know, but hey I was their cash cow for phone service I didn’t use much and I wasn’t valued.)
TPG charged me $110 a month for 100/20 and phones and don’t have 1000/40 HFC plan for me. ABB charge me $150 a month for 1000/40 and I their support is just fantastic!!!!
TPG asked me what went wrong and why I want to leave. My reply was what went right, and why should I stay?!
TPG sucks. Whomever want to go with TPG, you are warned.
Alternative??
ABB
That's why I moved :) First to Launtel, then to Exetel. Then probabaly to More Tel.
No way, CBA offer is much better
TPG is absolute filth.l for NBN. Cant believe they merged with Vodafone as well for mobile. Looks like Telstra will once again reign supreme
Can the modem provided by Tpg can use for other network providers?
Used as a router yes, used as a modem no
Wrong. Works perfectly with ABB in bridge mode.
Noticed that whistleout has a promo with Dodo, NBN 100 for $63.90 a month for 6 months, no lock in, seems the best deal in the market
Thoughts? Any experiences with Dodo?
