Hi, can you please share details of new model…
Doorbell Price bargain please Rep!!!!!
I tried Eufy, Mi and Reolink and found Reolink to have the best interface and features (in general)
Crappy tech support though
$90 cheaper than direct from Reolink, nice.
Ive had this set since Xmas. Works very well.
Bought one. Thanks OP!
I was looking at ReoLink, then, unfortunately, went for HiKVision. Maybe Hikvision new and more expensive cameras might better, but mine are crap and record rainfall and shadows and light changes, plants blowing in wind etc Because of this, trying to find the time of incident/event is so hard, because of the amount of footage to soft through and go through to find the one where something may have happened, as opposed to just the plants swaying or trees branches moving.
Night time clarity is not that great at all.
It's probably just how it works, not smart enough, it like it just picks up a change in colour or pixel change maybe.
I'm actually not that impressed with the HiKVision NVR. It's so damn loud.
And it definitely wasn't cheap, but feels like it is cheap and nasty.
I'm keen for inside/indoors cameras, and would look at ReoLink again. Means a second NVR though. I'm still looking for something for indoors/inside
I should have stick with my original choice of ReoLink PoE cameras for around the outside of the house
I have the Hikvision NVR - I replaced the fans with Noctua fans which helped a lot, but then I noticed that the side fan was still super noisy because of the grill design of the enclosure. Dremel'd that out and now it's nice and quiet.
Still irritating because it's supposed to be rackmount, but it's narrower than standard and the brackets are either not available or being sold for far more than they're worth. In retrospect, I would have bought something else.
The 'black' NVR is actually just a black top…it's still silver fascia, which is kinda annoying, as I have it in my TV cabinet/Audio set up.
In hindsight, I won't buy Hikvision again
Care to share the model information of your setup? My company installs mainly Dahua systems but we have done a handful of Hikvision. We have found the Hikvision alerts to be highly accurate. They claim 98% or better without false alarms which seems to be about right. Could be a matter of needing to adjust your settings?
Regarding the fan noise, some models of NVR have the option for variable fan speeds. Otherwise, as hcca mentioned, Noctua fan replacements are much quieter and that stupid mesh grill creates a tonne of turbulence/air noise.

Have 2 x 8mp cameras and 4 x 6mp cameras.
Thanks
Other thing to note, the HiKVision NVR doesn't have wifi connection option.
Only ethernet/wired internet.
This is inconvenient, as I don't have an ethernet plug/wired internet connect, where the NVR is
thank you bought one
Reolink are in beta testing for their video doorbell. Should be out later this year.
You can buy it right now - Nope! 😨

Just added it to my cart and it is just a notification for when they become available.
Thanks for letting me know!!!!
Should be available anytime now depending on logistics.
Thanks; got one. Anything special to top-up with additional cameras specially around the 811a?
Does anyone already have this? any recommendations?
Yeah just get it. I did a tonne of research and ended up with this model. Have since installed a 5th camera and plan to install 3 more in the future. Super easy to set up and quality is great.
Thanks!
I have this, it's good.
hi guys is it easy to install or I need to get an electrictian?
No sparky as its all Ethernet cable and (someone will post a reply saying a sparking needs to do it, but c'mon)… So if you can physically run the cable to where you mount the cable all, all good. NVR needs PowerPoint. I keep mine in the roof
Tell this to insurance company.
It is nonsense but any cable going into wall has to be do by a licensed electrician.
good price is always our aim
Just confirming this kit comes with cat cables?
And if so are they worth upgrading immediately?
Hello,
Thanks for your interest. Don't worry. This camera system comes with four 18M Cat5 Network Cables.
Thank you ,purchased
I am really sitting on the fence between Reolink and Hikvision 16ch NVR. Reolink seems like good value and I have heard offer good support when compared to Hikvision, but the youtube reviews I have watched say that Reolink struggles with night vision whilst the Hikvision Colourvu model (very low light) is excellent. Have been using 4G Arlo Go's, which are okay, but really need to get an NVR to save on 4G sims for each camera. I have been dealing with a dodgy builder who keeps making threats of malicious damage to my property that materialise at night, so night vision clarity and good auto detection alerts are super important. Any thoughts or feedback on Hik vs. Reolink are greatly appreciated.

Was just shy of $2500
Go the ReoLink
Dam just missed out, any chance of it coming back on sale again OP?
I bought an older version over a year ago. Now recently purchased a single camera with person/pet/car detection and it's so much better than the older models. The accuracy of the detection is pretty good, I've only had a two false alarms, well maybe not if you consider a spider to be a pet.
