This it the cheapest ever for this AMAZING Knipex tool.

Just add a few AA batteries (or something else) to the order to get to $50.00 ($55 with GST) for free delivery.

It's a fantastic tool and something I wish I had had years ago! Here is a good review.

Note also that the cheaper version of this tool, with the standard grip, is also available at Element14 for $39.37 + Delivery but as there were only 2 left at this price it will likely be sold soon.

Personally I prefer the Comfort Grip any day.

Element14, which is the old Farnell Australia as far as I understand, were very good with their shipping. They used TOLL Overnight Shipping from their NSW warehouse, and only took a few days to process the order.

Good luck, and enjoy!

Enjoy!

This is part of Father's Day deals for 2022.

Ah man. I just got my Knipex side cutters and long nose pliers in the mail this week. (Which adds to my collection of about 3 other Knipex tools). Awesome stuff. I need to try not to buy these, they look super handy.

    Thanks op.

We buy from E14 virtually daily at work (I’m an electronics eng), they are a very good and very professional supplier. Recommended.

    • Got any recommendations for flush cutting side cutters? The ones with a flat face so I can cut really close to the material. Looking for some to use with cable ties and cleaning up plastic components. Ideally heavyish duty (not the ones that come with 3D printers).

      • +1

I was initially thinking these which I have a pair of:

        https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B005EXOE5U

Sharp as hell and very accurate. You could shave with these but it’d take a while. But then I read you said heavyish duty. These would cut most things, cable ties easily. You could go for something like this, has a longer 160mm handle:

        https://www.amazon.com.au/72-01-160-Diagonal-plastics/dp/B00…

It might have a wider opening, the first one I linked to doesn’t open that wide if you’re cutting big things.

Otherwise there’s heavy duty side cutters but they aren’t flush. I have one I use for sitting fence wire etc.

Sorry for a lil the Amazon links, just where I’d gotten mine (but I don’t like Amazon much).

        • +1

Thanks! Both of those are exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't too clear on it, it is mainly cable ties with only the occasional trimming back of wires to be flush with a connection. Just will likely get a lot of use, get wet sometimes with fairly hard water, dropped occasionally from height onto concrete/metal e.c.t.

The second one probably suits my use slightly better just due to that opening. But if I did more electronics I'd 100% pick-up that first one too. All good re Amazon links, they've got a big catalogue so makes it easy to find things. I'll search around other places to try and find an alternative site if there is one. Thanks again

          • +1

@lancesta: I have the vde rated ones like the first link. Can thoroughly recommend.

I think I do need to get a professional job before I can utilise this tool.

    • +2

Just buy it, so you can feel professional;)

    • +2

wrong sequence, you need this tool to get the job;) rock up to interview with a toolbelt full of knipex and you'll be offered any job you want.

    • i need such a high quality tool to compensate the lack of my skills. at least I could be quite confident to confirm whether I correctly follow what I learn from youtube rather than just blame the low quality tools. :D

  • +1

Thanks, it looks handy to have. Bought 2.

  • +1

Cheers - I've always wanted a pair for work.

  • +1

Price listed in OP is excluding GST

    • Thanks. I have updated the title with the GST inclusive price.

      • Thanks, is this because of the SG stock now or was it adding GST on top of the listed price earlier as well? Just wanted to confirm if I missed buying it cheaper :)

  • Same pliers at Total Tools is $92.50. Just saying.
    https://www.totaltools.com.au/187686-knipex-200mm-twingrip-s…

    • Sent them a price match query.

      • Does TT have price match policy?

      • +1

Total Tools had told me that they couldn't even match $65.00 for the cheaper version of this tool.

        • Total Tools refused to price match for this reason -

Products for sale via auction, stock liquidations, fire sale, sale or clearance (including eBay, Amazon, Gumtree etc)

    • I was juts in Sydney Tools and its like, nice stuff at 20% mark up from internet prices. I get that in store has extra cost but Im just not paying that.

  • +2

Their website is really awful, not easy to navigate, and does not give you alternative payment other than CC.

    • +1

It is primarily business focussed but worth suffering through for amazing service.

I ordered a new power supply for a screen when WFH in 2020 and it arrived the same day. Just last week they sent a courier with a package with 2 switches with value $1.80 as they are committed to getting you your goods ASAP.

Added this to get to get to just over $50. Can never have too many good cheap PH2s around the house!

  • +1

    Thanks grabbed one too!

  • +1

Amazing price. Can't go wrong with the brand. I'm impartial to the grips, but do feel like I can get a bit more force out of the comforts. Looks like they'll be handy for screw extraction among other things. Typically use a pair of Engineer PZ-59 for this but glad to have another Knipex tool to add to the rest. Thanks!

  • +1

    Solid, bought.

  • +1

    Thanks OP, bought one.

  • +2

Hmmm, after I bought last night (thanks OP!) it said there were 3 in stock… since then 3 people have said here they bought and still says 3 in stock…

Anybody with experience with these guys know much about when stock levels updated? Hope my order has stock allocated!

    • +1

      Sounds like a blackwoods

      • Can you unpack?

    • Hey

what time did you place your order? Been told January now despite placing order at 8:30pm on the 13th

      cheers

  • +2

Thanks OP. Didn't know I needed these.

  • +1

Thanks. Looks handy for stripped bolts.
Got with knippex nippers which I've been needing for a while

  • +1

Thank you for introducing me to this one. I bought it with the AA batteries but in hindsight I should have bought two instead.

The website was stuck on "Registering", then I tried to register with another password, this time without any special characters.

Next, I need to add some of their Raptors to my collection.

    • +1

Next, I need to add some of their Raptors to my collection.

If you haven’t already, check out their Cobras and plier wrenches, they may be more versatile and useful than Raptors imo.

      • +1

Yes, I'm well on my way in completing my Cobra and wrench Knipex collection. The Raptors would be there for "special" situations.

I'm more of a collector than a heavy user of these tools. It may not make economic sense but it is a dopamine fix!

Preaching to the choir there brother!

@zonra: The way I justify it to myself: "I don't gamble, smoke, drink or do drugs. So, I need to at least have one vice!".

            • +1

@johnwinds: Those exact words are what I keep telling my wife, along with “You don’t need these tools until you do” and “You pay for quality so that they last forever”.

              • +1

                @zonra:

“You don’t need these tools until you do”

I don't even pretend I will ever use some of these anymore. They are now just fidget toys to keep on my desk and to marvel at the engineering and quality.

  • +1

Thanks, grabbed one along with some aligator clips for free shipping.
Love the other Knipex tools I have already. Good quality stuff

  • +2

I have more Knipex tools than you could shake a strike at, yet I bought this too.

    I'm addicted to Knipexcaine.

  • +3

Thanks OP. Bought one due to Fomo 🤣

  • +1

nabbed also, hopefully we get our Knipex fix!

  • Unfortunately I think a lot of us will be on backorder… still says 3 available… like it has for the last 21 hours…

  • Beware, their invoice is in USD dollar, I might return for refund unless they reimburse the foreign exchange fee. I wasn't aware until receiving the invoice, otherwise I would have used different CC.

    • When did you place your order? I ordered yesterday haven't received any invoice yet.

      • It's in the email immediately after I ordered.

        • Your Element14 order ******** has been received. That was the email I received after placing my order but there's no invoice in it. They haven't even charged my CC.

    • It shouldnt be as the website mentions GST and the $50AUD limit for free shipping

  • +1

I wish I had these 30 years ago when first setting up my tool box.
Fathers day sorted - thanks OP

  • there are still 3 remaining. Is it worth taking the risk?

    • Has anyone received a shipping information yet?

      • I called this morning and they said it was coming from UK (not SG!) and would be shipped from here early next week. I ordered @ 9pm sat night

        • Ordered Sat night 9.20pm, no invoice and no CC being charged. Have they charged your CC yet?

          • @kampret: nope. And no invoice either.

  • +1

I just got charged for the second item I purchased..

    • +1

They charge each item just before they ship it. I received the charge for my secondary item about an hour after I ordered and the pliers 3 days later.

  • These jaws will mangle anything it bites, so I prefer spanners and sockets. It can be very useful when everything is rounded off and destruction time.

    • Yeah definitely wouldn't use them on a bolt I actually cared about. I've made the mistake of using multigrips before and it's a bad habit to fall into.

  • Got invoiced for the aligator clips today.

  • Got an acknowledgement of order for all items just then with expected delivery of the pliers of 29/9/2022

Pricing is in AUD for a grand total of $55 - not sure why there was a previous post of someone being invoiced in USD ??

    • Beat you by a day… my pliers due 28/9/2022. hehehe

      and same — in AUD.

      • 28/09 also here

    • Well 30/9 but sort of glad I am not the only one a month+ away.

    • +1 for the 29/9

  • I received an email saying my order was on hold for "trade compliance" until I provided them with my full name for the delivery address. I asked what they meant (since my order has my first name and surname on it already), and they asked me if I had a middle name. Wtf?

  • I ordered on the 15th and it's still in the processing stage. Not been charged yet.

    • Same for me

  • Mine arrived today! Anyone else got their order yet?

    • Are you happy with it?!

      • +1

Yeah they seem good to me. Quality is good as expected and they are a good size. I didn’t realise how much adjustment they had to be honest which is awesome. They’ll definitely be handy to have in the toolbox

  • +1

Placed my order on the 13th August……So I have been told end of January before they get more stock

What kind of a company has 4 months waiting without even a mention that it is delayed

They are still taking orders and advertising it as available September!!

    • +1

Ordered on the same date like yours and was told estimated delivery on 28/9.

      • +1

Hey kampret Thanks for the reply

Just saw you placed your order at 9:20pm

        Mine was at 8:30pm

They basically told me I was lying about others ordering after me

You may want to check if they are gonna get them out to you.

Really frustrating as I have needed these multiple times in last couple of weeks!!

        • I followed up with them today and was told end of Jan 2023 too. It is kind of annoying how they've kept quiet about it until I asked.

          • +1

            @johnwinds: really disappointing communication

I work in maintenance up the the ski fields. This is a highly useful tool in the conditions due to temperature extremes.

To not be told it is out of stock is just crazy.

To keep saying it will be in stock next month and still taking orders is just plain wrong

            When did you order yours?

            • @slipperypete:

              When did you order yours?

              Aug 13, 11:20pm

              • +1

                @johnwinds: 8:30pm on the 13th.

I know someone who placed the order on the 14th and already got theirs!

                • +1

@slipperypete: Same thing happened to me with the Leatherman OHT order from Catch.

    • how/where did they tell you Jan? Had you had a previous date promised before?

      • No date. They obviously messed things up. They haven't even once said it'll be delayed. People who ordered after have received theirs.

I'm blown away. I emailed them and they just said

The below is highly unlikely. If that is the case, then we have a serious issue at hand. Please share the Order reference number of your friend and we will definitely look into our stock allocation procedures again

They STILL have it advertised as back in stock next month despite saying

End of January 2023 is the best ETA from the supplier as of now. Please advise if you would like to keep the order as it is or cancel it.

I have told them it is showing next month on their website and they are still tasking orders.

        • yikes!

I called and was just told January too… and the guy I spoke to could not give a shit…

          • @Ntsh: it's a real bad attitude.

It doesn't seem much better that the mods here are happy to keep the deal open. I told them it has no stock, they STILL have it advertised as available next month and people here are still placing orders for a part that has a best delivery date of January

            deception and dishonesty

  • +1

I'll be pleasantly surprised if I ever get these. Not holding my breath tho.

  • "Kindly note that the parts are available on our supplier’s lead time and as per the ETA would be by Mar 2023". Order placed Aug 13th. Hopefully it can be cancelled.

    • Actually what is the hurry. For most of us it probably wont get used for a few times by Mar 2023. It is still one of the lowest possible prices to buy this tool.

      • For most of us it probably wont get used for a few times by Mar 2023

I would have used used this multiple times. I work in the snow fields where half the bolts have rusted down due to extreme conditions

      • Agreed if you can wait. I thankfully was able to cancel.

        • anyone can cancel, you don't get charged till they post it

    • why the flying fu@k are they still advertising October delivery and why have the mods here ignored this

  • I hate you all lol… why did I have to read this post and spend money!??!

    • did u notice that despite their web page saying delivery next month they're saying no delivery till March next year

  • +2

Hopefully we eventually get the orders……

  • No sign of mine being sent yet.

    • +1

Me too. The original estimation was by 28/9.

  • Update I got today is that delivery has been delayed to March 2023!!! :(
