How do you know if Amazon has low stock or they just simply limit the purchase to 3-5 thus you won't see what they have?
If Amazon states the number of items they have in stock, then generally it's low stock, since posting a deal requires a qty of 10+
Sometimes it doesn't say, so when you go to select the qty it will show the max number they have available

@nicholasv: Maybe. A lot of cancelled orders though. I think a customer would buy an average of 4 packs or so, so that would be 6 customers cancelling their order.

@harshbdmmaster718: Yup! Amazon warehouse was made to clear stock and get rid of used/open box/near expiry items etc but alot of the time the item will still be brand new in box sealed. (When you buy a lot you'll eventually know how to predict the exact condition of the item depending on what the item condition says)

This might not be the right place to leave feedback on "Opened box/Used" items of a non food kind. But I have purchased a few things from AmazonWarehouse with a big discount declaring "Cosmetic damage etc on packaging and product" and every time the product arrived basically brand new. I think the only thing missing was the seal.Packaging was not damaged and product did not have a single mark on it and functioned like new. I guess they put something "worst case scenario" or 1 level worse than it actually is so customers are more likely to be happy.
@harshbdmmaster718: Yes, most of my items arrive brand new in box sealed, despite saying otherwise like what you mentioned above. Even books arrive brand new. The Amazon Warehouse sticker peels off easily too and doesn’t rip most of the packaging or book, which is good!
Imo, the warehouse is the real deal in saving money of things you may or may not need. Enjoy bargain hunting :)

@I Smell Pennies: Some food items I'd just be a little more selective, for example flours and nuts which can go rancid as they near end of shelf life. Fine if you can consume all before the short BBD, but I normally pass (as I did with the cashews this morning).

I can confirm that. I recently ordered Bundaberg ginger beer and received that awful (IMO) Mother-something "energy" drink. Claimed a return, got an instant refund with a "keep it" message.
Funny aside; I then tried to give the "Mother" stuff away. No one wanted it. Put it on Gumtree for free. Got a couple of nibbles with "Can you deliver?". FFS. I finished up emptying the 24 cans on the compost head and claiming $2.40 at the Bottle'oh.
Our family is a big fan of these Strangelove low calorie Pear Sodas. Not hugely sweet and a good accompaniment to any dinner. $5 for 4 is a no brainer.
Oh and Bezos' shrink wrapping/bubble wrapping of these would cost about 50% of that alone! Mine came today wrapped like the crown jewels were inside.

I have had that for two of my orders earlier this week. I messaged their CS and they have me a $5 credit and 1 month extension of my prime. It's annoying but at least I got something for it

I just contacted CS on 2 separate orders that were cancelled earlier in the week. Guy said items were "damaged in transit" hence order cancelled and no charge to my account. Followed by apologizing for the inconvenience but didn't offer anything else…

Here is a thought of why this happened - the deals are shared here in ozb with very limited quantity available - in most cases just one available. The soonest someone post the deal, lots of buyers try to buy the item at the same time - obviously they will only ship the very first order(s) and cancel the rest.
I personally bought two items from this post and both shipped - most likely due to lack of interest from others. I received one yesterday and the other should be here today.

Here is the listing said: Condition: Used - Acceptable - Large cosmetic imperfection(s) on interior of the item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged.
Here is the actual product: Box is in good condition - no tear. Box seals are open, and there is LPN barcode in the bottom - indicating that it was a customer return.
All docs seems complete. There is hand handling marks on the glossy ring part of the mouse - easily cleaned with alcohol wipe. Most part of the mouse is as new.
I'm happy with the mouse.
And yes you can always return the item if the condition is not what you're expecting.
@foxmulder: Didn't know LPN barcode means a return. I just received this posted above, just some cosmetic wear and tear and also had an LPN barcode. Just considering about returning as short dated (BBD Nov'22) and was originally planning as a gift.
@Craze: Hi, LPN is a barcode for Amazon to track individual items - which mostly returns. But in your case for pantry as generally they do not accept return for change of mind - the LPN may be for those stocks that has damage issues, or short dates.
I don't think you can do standard return for this type of items - you can contact them via chat - generally if they 'accept' your return - they will just refund and won't require you to return it.
I've had a few items cancelled. Stuff happens, no big deal. Wouldn't even consider complaining over something so trivial.

I had some from a previous deal and some of them got stuck in the machine. From my experience, all third party ones have various issues: either get stuck after use or no liquid pours. Of course, it does not happen 100% but it's something that I haven't noticed to the Aldi ones.

You're basically biting the hand that feeds you. Where else can you get a refund pretty much no questions asked and they do offer compensation sometimes without you asking. Amazon are an amazing deal for so many reasons (could only be temporary, once they gotten rid of all the competition). Any credit here or there is going to pale into significance if you get banned for being a nuisance customer.

@I Smell Pennies: Yeh I've been doing it constantly and have had a 100% success rate, but surely there is a limit to the amount of times they provide a credit. Hopefully they just refuse to provide credit after a threshold has been reached rather than ban you!

In the interest of sharing attempts to get the most out of these flash warehouse deals, I've been playing with keeping an eye on the pantry/groceries deals in an easy to notify (and potentially sharable/useful) way. At the moment I've got this setup as a little twitter account that I've turned tweet notifications on for, and it's been working pretty well, albeit with Amazon's… interesting.. idea of what counts as groceries.
I've also been thinking of ways it might be useful to pull out worthwhile non groceries items too (eg. perhaps deals with an 85%+ saving?) but there's an awful lot of useless chaff there. Just ignoring books/dvds would probably help a lot.

Any way to add the original price or discount?
I've recently started including full price, expiry/condition status, and quantity details for most deals, though at the moment a couple of deals (like the Powerade) seem to be captured before they're linked back to the standard product/price on Amazon's product page (😬). I'll keep an eye on it as new deals flow through, since it's been a bit quiet the last few days, and see how they go and/or if there's a better way to grab that info.

Today especially there are a lot of products jumping back into (and out of) stock. I'm currently keeping the tweets here pretty conservative - filtering out recent duplicates based on item and price (eg. if the price drops further I'll tweet again, but if it returns to stock at the same price we skip it).
Would it be useful for tweets to come through when the coconut water gets a fresh batch of stock added? Each time, so you've got the best chance to grab it, or only the first time every few hours or so?
It might worth trialling and we can scale back if it gets noisy…

Yeah it seems to be that way, refreshing the page doesn't seem to immediately show all the results. Items can exist that don't show up yet in the results page, so by the time they show up for you, they are already gone/purchased by someone else.

When it goes to an empty cart then it means it is already gone, the Amazon website just hasn't caught up/updated. It's quite normal.
@hamza23: even if live CS on chat also sees it was 1 in stock and incognito says in 1 in stock too ?
@USER DC: A live CS or you incognito, seeing the same page that is yet to be updated on Amazon's end, doesn't change the fact that the item has already been purchased and the Amazon website just hasn't been updated yet.
Even with regular Amazon deals it is quite common for the item to appear available for sale, but adding to cart just leads to empty cart. IUt just means the item is out of stock and in a few minutes the website will update to show that.
@USER DC: Yes, CS are looking at the same screen as you. They're not running down to the warehouse and counting inventory and matching this with orders to be fulfilled. If you can't add it to your cart then it means someone else has bought it recently (within the last few minutes or so) and the SOH hasn't updated yet

That has to be one of the most confusing Amazon listings I've ever seen. From the images it appears you only get 4x 275ml bottles. The title suggests you get 4x 2180g? And yet the description says the package weight will be 13.68kg. If the RRP is $47.48 you'd better hope it's more than just 4x 275ml bottles… Who knows what you'll actually get lol
Yeah, bit hit and miss. I have purchased many items where I got delivered as per the description package weight, other times as per item weight/title
Volume is 1100ml, they've put package weight in title instead (hence why it's in g not ml). You'll be getting four 4 x 275ml packs I'm assuming (although 13.68kg seems like a lot, maybe thick glass bottles). 4.4L all up.
@pennypincher98: 13.68 kg is the weight of the shipment that arrives from the Ginger Ale company to Amazon before it gets separated by Amazon and sold as 4 packs. I’m assuming it arrives in a box of 6 lots of 4 packs, and then they slap a stick on each and sell each 4 pack individually. But sometimes they forget to separate it and you get lucky with the entire carton
