  • Is this worth getting for my ps5 controller? Would it damage the battery life?

Most recent reviews are mixed / bad.

Two people said it stutters when using OQ2, another said it stopped working after a month. I was tempted for the price, but think I'll get a Kiwi or other reputable brand.

No need for a cable IMHO. Use air link and a decent router. Half-Life Alyx looks amazing and feels lag free as far as I can tell.

    • I agree and was going to say the same thing. You need wi-fi 6 router.. Good excuse to upgrade your router

      • Using Xiaomi AX1800 and works fine.

Have isolated the 5Ghz channel and made sure nothing is connected. Have like 10 devices connected to 2.4Ghz at same time.

        • i thought 5ghz is way better so i connected phone etc etc to 5g if possible/device supports. so i am doing this wrong ?

          • @CyberMurning: I mean only my quest is connected to my 5Ghz channel.

            • @kehuehue: Yes, so for your other devices, is it okay to have them all with 2.4? Fast enough?

              • @CyberMurning: Yeah works fine for me. I reckon the CPU (of the router) is fast enough in the AX1800. I hit 150Mbps in task manager often for the Oculus app when using Airlink.

Most (90%) of my other devices are smart bulbs, alexa etc

3 metres for this is kind of too small - if you need to plug it into the back of a pc, that's a lot of extra distance taken up, or even if your pc is on the ground and the cable needs to reach up to you.

Try the Airlink first over this, and put money towards a better wifi router if that's your problem instead.

    • Depends on your use case. If you're playing flight and racing sims, cable might be a better solution. Obviously Beat Saber or Half Life Alyx, this would be terrible.
