Do not order from Samsung online store guys. I fell for one of the gaming monitor deals and neither monitor got delivered or the money was returned yet. Order date 1st Feb

    • +11

Same, did it once, never again. Took months to deliver my TV and customer service is non existent

      • +1

Samsung customer services is the worse because they contract it out to outside companies who don't care about Samsung brand.even their supposedly nice tiny Sydney retail shop is contracted to some unknown cheap 3rd party. They are so stingy they would not hire their own staff pay them proper permanent salary and just contract it to third party company- the cheap ones.
So everyone in Australia are fooled thinking they got Samsung customer service when it's some cheap third party contractors. They simply do not care anything they do that could damage their brand, like poor service contracted customer services.

And the real reason they contracted to outside cheap companies everything from retail to customer services in Australia is because they have no intention of staying in this market long term.

Cross the road jack and please enter to the Apple store

          Back to Sony it is

          • @thestripedlion: That's funny as Sony would be next in line for terrible customer service and support.

        • "because they have no intention of staying in this market long term."

What do you know that I dont?? I would love to know.

    • +3

      Second that!

    • +14

Same here. Order Dec-2021 and just got the money back last week. after chasing it almost every second day.waste of time.

      • +7

        Wtf? 7 months.

      • Hopefully I’ll see my refund next month then haha. Order Jan 2022

      • That’s a straight up credit card reversal! Takes 2 minutes.

    • +6

Hm have bought phones from the edu store a couple of times, no issues.

Maybe delays are particularly for TVs/monitors?

      • +7

They seem to have issues with anything bigger than the size of a smartphone.

        • +2

Can vouch, took them >6 weeks to deliver my Galaxy Tab Ultra

        • They had issues even with a 6 inch s22 because it's not them doing the actual fulfilment nor are they interested.

    • +5

+1 here too. Still waiting on a tv from May. Overseas call centre is useless

    • +1

I got Samsung frame form last deal… had no issue. Delivered(spot on) on selected date.

      • +1

Sometimes people find a $5 NOTE walking on dirt.

    • I ordered the 65" serif and got it within a week. I am in Sydney metro.

      • No one knew it would flood 3 times in one month in NSw but it did so you had a strange lucky strike point being majority of the time samsung gives the worse customer experience but when lightning strikes or when it floods that's when you may get good service. Funny thing is they as a company do not give 2 toss about how you feel about their service with fake surveys and pretentious emails to you all created by robots.

Ordered a 75" TV from this, delivery date was a week away, but I got the TV 3 days earlier than that.

The interesting thing was, they had a random delivery address on the invoice - somewhere in North Sydney that I've never been to or know about. The final confirmation screen was fine, just the attached PDF in the email was wrong. Lucky I checked it when I got the email. Managed to change it to my address after being on the phone for 30mins. So I do agree that their website is crazy.

      • I also bought the 75" version of that TV from ebay with an ebay plus membership on July 12. Came to a grand total of $1709. Currently watching a movie on it right now actually 👌 Mine was said to be delivered on August 3 but actually was attempted delivery on July 13 (Monday).

      • The only way samsung can improve service is to sack all their contracted companies and run the show themselves.

It's pretty much a gamble on whether you will receive anything from the Samsung online store so be prepared to have your funds held by Samsung for 3-6 months (according to comments from other posters - in any case cancellation of the order for non-receipt/delays will see you waiting for at least a month before the funds are actually returned from the date Samsung approves your refund (if they approve it) - with nothing you can do about it except to initiate a charge back with your banking provider for non-receipt of product.

For those of you still waiting, I'd consider lodging a complaint with the ACCC (companies - it won't help your specific order but given a significant volume of complaints it may incite them to open an overall investigation into their business practices in Australia (Samsung have already been recently fined $14m by the ACCC for misleading advertising). It's shocking that a company of Samsung's size and reputation could be so indifferent about their own direct online channel and seemingly incapable of managing their own warehouses and/or delivery (courier) partners.

      ACCC:
"If you pay a business for a product or service, that business must supply you when it said it would. It's illegal for a business to accept payment for products or services they don't intend to supply. If you didn't agree when the business would supply you, the business must ensure delivery within a reasonable time."

      • Obviously I got lucky…Only ever ordered through them once with my son's edu.au email & arrived without issue in the timeframe specified…

      • +1 for this. I used the letter template on the ACCC website and it (only) took 2 months to get a refund

    • +1

Wow. Judging by the upvotes, this is not remotely a one-off.
Great way to destroy their own brand.
I was considering buying one of their TV's but this is unlikely to happen now.

I-beam designs… Did anyone have one? And feels it suits their house?

    • +1

I brought the 65" one last week. I am using it in a room with lots of sunlight and lighting. The previously TV was A80J and had too much reflections. This one is matte, so it is great.

picture quality wise it can't compare to OLED but then it is half the price. It is OK for a mid range TV.

The speaker is also louder then the A80J. So I think it is great if you want to put it somewhere that does not have a TV cabinet and soundbar/additional speaker (which is exactly my purposes).

I thought it is a microwave

Wow the marketing department were WELL INTO Friday drinks when they came up for the name of this model!

Can someone please tell 2022 Frame 43" in price on edu store?

    • +14

      Only ones who get HDs

      • Hahaha

      • +1

If only unis started awarding UHDs…

    • +1

EDU price looks to be the same as EPP price.
      The 43" is between $714 and $715.

      • +2

$1,274 for The Frame 43". $714 for the 43" Serif.

        • This means EPP has better price for Frame 43" as it is $1124.25

  • Are they wall mountable? Or would that lose the appeal?

  • Any good reviews on these for things like peak brightness? Wondering if its a good upgrade to my hisense 65p7 from 2019(?)

    • -5

It’s a Q60 panel if your looking for reviews. In the last few years Samsung have been using IPS panels in some Australian models, so if it’s IPS off angle viewing will be garbage.

      • +9

Isn't the reverse? IPS is wide viewing angles, poor blacks, VA better blacks, narrow viewing angles. OLED best for both

        • Yeh it's the reverse

Arty. I’d say it’s only nice on the easel

      • agree. makes you feel like you're in paris observing a peace of art.

  • Any good? I have a 350 voucher

  • Good TV, have the white one which looks amazing. Has blooming around the corners - weirdly more noticeable on stan on apple tv. If you're using a tv cabinet then you need it to be as long as the tv - it stands on multiple pads. Includes legs. Not wall mountable. Tinny sound, but I use sonos arc that conveniently sits on the top and comes in white! Arc is also the perfect length for 55". I got the 2020 version, don't know if they made any updates with this version

  • I got the 43" 2020 version from samsung recently and yes the order did take ~2 months to fulfill. If only it took another month, I could have cancelled and ordered this model for cheaper.

  • Any places price match these?

    • Tried to do that with JB and was declined

  • +1

I got a TV in Feb from the education store and it came in about a week

  • damn too bad cannot wall mount this.

  • +1

    65 inches all gone!!!

  • I got a tv from Samsung store with slim wall mount and a week after one connect cable, as it was accidentally broken. Both of the deliveries arrived within two weeks.

    65 inch back in stock

  • Wish major retailers will have the same sale like this soon

Ordered 85" QN85A from EPP, sensational deal 25/01/2022 — scheduled delivery date 04/02/22 — text message night before advising "supply chain issues", cannot be delivered and an email would be provided with more details.. this went on for 5 months, the final 2 months the TV had allegedly been dispatched 3 times from their elusive "warehouse". the amount of time on the phone, text, email, webforms, linkedin, insta trying to get my money was ridiculous. I finally got the money 5.5 months later BUT it cost me $1029.

separately I ordered Q900 sound bar (and special thin wall mounts for QN85), this was received 2 months from order — Samsung refused to accept the sound bar as a return despite the TV fiasco citing it was "change of mind" and outside their 14 day policy. 6 months from initial purchase, I was defeated and just couldn't be bothered chasing them again. so I got my $5K back for the TV but ripped up hours of my time + a grand. The Q900 remains sitting in its box in the spare room, completely unopened — welcome to pm me with an offer lol

I'll never buy a Samsung out of principle which is a real shame because literally a week prior to this debacle I ordered a new fridge & dishwasher (via EPP) and the price, service & delivery was exceptional (hence why I repeated for the TV et al). Real disappointing experience.

  • I bought this on the day I posted it and today it was delivered on the first try. So no problems so far. Pretty nice tv, it's a great step up from my old Samsung ru7100.

    • Hey mate, if you don't mind me asking, was your courier company ANC? I've ordered one of these as well, due to be delivered tomorrow by ANC and I'm just now reading some horrible reviews about them online (lots of people have not had their delivery completed), and its got me a little worried.

      • Yea it was with anc, my experience with them was good. They called me in the morning and told me what time they expected to be around.
