ARCTIC P12 Slim PWM PST - 120 mm Case Fan with PWM Sharing Technology (PST), Pressure-optimised, Quiet Motor, Computer, Extra Slim, 300-2100 RPM - Black

About this item
OPTIMISED FOR STATIC PRESSURE: Through high static pressure, the fan guarantees efficient cooling, even with increased air resistance. Suitable for use on heat sinks and radiators
STRONG COOLING PERFORMANCE: The performance of the P fans has been noticeably increased through numerous improvements, including upgraded engine technology and a newly developed fan design
300 TO 2100 RPM: Thanks to the 4-pin connector, the fan speed can be controlled via PWM PST. This keeps noise to a minimum while at the same time ensuring maximum cooling performance
LOW INSTALLATION HEIGHT: The P12 SLIM PWM PST has an installation height of only 15 mm, making it suitable for small form factor cases & for installations for which a 25 mm fan does not fit
TECHNICAL DATA: Fan speed: 300–2100 RPM, Airflow: 71.53 m³/h/41.1 CFM, Noise Level: 0.3 Sone, Static Pressure: 1.45 mm/H2O, Pin: 4-pin

    You sound like a fan…

    • probably case of ctrl c - ctrl v

    • turn it up

    • Much better deal for anything but single-fan orders. Not sure why OP didn't post this instead 🤔

      • Those aren't slim

Whoops my bad, sleep deprived brain assumed there was only one thickness for P12's

          • @grackfight420: Great price though. Only fans I use now are the P12 PWM PST. Oh and the RGB versions of course haha

            • @Dvbargain: I just bought 2x 5 packs of P12 non-pwm from PCCG. $32 per pack plus $15 shipping with some other items.

at their regular speed of 1800 RPM they are very quiet. I cannot hear them above my gas heater in the same room.

I run them slower with a fan controller on my main system. just be aware you need DC fan control and on one of my older motherboards they run full speed as the fan headers only do PWM control.

              • @Antikythera: Nice buy, but with the Amazon sales occasionally on PWM PST P12s I see no reason to compromise

@Dvbargain: yeah for $6 or $7 a fan they are excellent value.

I was redoing my water cooled system after not touching it for several years. switching from single 360mm push pull to dual 360mm and aiming for quiet as possible. the noise difference was so great I also did my NAS box with the left over new fans and am now kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

    • The issue is mwave charges 8$ postage which defeats the purpose :(

      • not if you are buying more than one though.

  • Best bet price/performance for a 120 slim

Good but these are notorious for rattling a bit more than their 25mm counterparts.

    • Thanks mate , was about to get one
You recon 25mm less noise and ratlle? You using one?

      • If you can fit a full 25mm, you should always fit it as it’ll offer superior performance at all levels (Yes, even better than 2 15mms on both sides of a rad.)

To clarify for anyone concerned, the issue with P12 Slim is blade warping and lifting, it’s an issue where you might have it sandwiched below something. I cannot confirm it it’s simply a QC issue or not. However it isn’t entirely bad though as the only other decent alternative is the A12x15 which is considerably more expensive and has its own issues (Noise quality, higher pitch noise at high rpms)

        • thanks a lot mate for patiently explaining , will think twice then for 15mm then!

I have 5 P12's and 4 P14's (PWM PST) all daisy chained to 2 fan headers on the MB (Taichi Z690) and a case power-assisted fan header which is itself plugged into a mainboard header in a big case (Fractal Define 7 XL) and I can't hear any of them. There's a MOS fan a VRM fan and a big fan on the Noctua CPU chiller and of all of them, I can only very faintly hear the high RPM tiny fans which came with the mainboard.

This is the first time I ever used these Arctic fans and I love them. And for bigger orders like mine, Mwave is definitely the place to go - quick (I'm in Perth), inexpensive and a vast range of gear, almost as broad as PCCasegear, which is a bit more expensive.

As an afterthought, it's winter, so summer here with our 40+C outdoor temps will be the real acid test. I'll report back then.
As an after-afterthought, these are full thickness, not slims.

      • No, you definitely shouldn’t be able to hear them. In fact your setup is pretty ideal for minimising fan noise and is a good application of the Arctic fans. A 5 pack of these would go an incredibly long way in minimising noise

These (slims) are more so an issue in an ITX case where you’re limited to 1-3 fans in a case and they’re consistently going to be running at a higher RPM. I’d go out of my way to put a 25mm than put a 15mm (Buy a slim rad or AIO) if possible
