It feels like a CPU price war is underway, as there's now an even cheaper deal than the US$87.68 deal posted yesterday. Interestingly, TaiYuan Store is operated by the same company that runs SZCPU Store. While this doesn't stack with cashback from TCB/CR/SB it will stack with AliExpress cashback.

It has 8 cores, 16 threads, base clock of 3.4GHz, boost clock of 4.6GHz with a default TDP of 65W. Perfectly fine for multi-core tasks and gaming. As mentioned in the previous deal, this CPU is very easy to cool and there's no need for a fancy or expensive cooler. Even something like the $29 Thermalright Assassin X120 SE would do the job just fine.

Super cheap! Still waiting on 5000 series x3d chips, though. Hopefully something comes around soon.

Not happening for a long while as the 3D V-Cache is being used for 7000/9000 X3D CPUs.

5800x3d stopped production a while back, 5700x3d apparently might have stopped as well which may explain why price has been going up since Dec. if its true then price ain't coming down.

      • +6

Correct. 5700X3D ceased production in October and most of the AliExpress sellers lost the bulk of their stock from all the deals late last year. Now it's in short supply and they make more selling it higher.

Well, missed out on that one then, haha. I guess it's time to start looking into the 7000 series chips. The deal recently for the 7700 was fantastic, but between the cost of switching my ram, motherboard and processor, it's a little tougher of a sell.

"Minor surface wear, bent pins, or stains are normal."

Bent pins are NOT normal. It renders your CPU useless.

    • Well, then, "Please do not purchase if you mind these conditions."

Still an easy refund if you get something that doesn't work. Upload pics and bam refund.

    • Maybe that's why it's cheaper than the other deal.

    • Are these used stock?

      • They claim it's brand new, but this thing is from 2022, I doubt that.

      • My guess is at least part of the stock is returned from people who bent pins by accident trying to install the CPU.

  • 5700X3D plz!

Unfortunately I really don't think it's coming. This is probably your best bet if you want to upgrade and stay on AM4.

Price match for those who bought it for $30+ higher? LOL

  • Ordered one (well when it was $150 from another seller). I built an UnRaid AM4 build with a 5600+B550 Pro4 motherboard and 64GB of ECC ram. B550 sucks with it comes to iommu groups, so grabbing an X570 off there and I got the 5700 for some more cores over the 5600. The DDR4 ECC sticks are $200 each - so the build resides around them, hence staying with AM4. I already have a 5800X3D in my gaming rig, so this 5700 is purely for some NAS/server/docker usage.
