Hey Jass, do you have any recommendations as using these or others similar on sale during prime day as wireless gaming cans? Comfort is my #1 priority and my hs70 is just uncomfortable. I know wireless latency is an issue for some.
These are not low enough latency.
HS80 Wireless is new and well priced considering that, has a great mic, but I would personally use wired and wait for LC3/LC3 Plus low latency gear, because it will blow the gaming brands out of the water and bring the proper audio brands straight into the market.
AKG K371 is a great wired option that is very comfortable for most people, and will be $137 after cashback later today.
Thanks, will keep an eye out.
I have a pair of these. I won't recommend buy them at 250$. 200$ or less I will consider at the moment.
These cannot be used for gaming - not consistent enough for FPS. For MOBA it's fine. For gaming try the Logitech G733, cheaper and better than this I think for that purpose I think.
Multi devices don't perform well. Performance-wise, I would say it is well built & sounds nice back then (1+ year ago). But at this stage IMO don't buy it at 250$.
Thanks for coming to my TED-talk.
These aren't advertised for gaming but ok
I have the original version of these headphones and has served me well, I actually found the multi device much better than xm4
Only complaint is that its not usb-c, and I have some issues with connectivity on my Macbook sometimes (I join a zoom and it immediately dcs)
ANC is nowhere near as good as XM3/4/5 eitherIt dc tons of times for me - but my case was on the other way around, dc only on the Dell workstation instead of the Mac Air.
I had the first version of these and they kept failing. After returning two pairs, Sennheiser eventually (after me having to visit JB HiFi 3 times), just gave me my money back. The issue was that you turned the headphones on by twisting the right ear cup, and the magnet that controls the power switch just craps out after a certain number of uses. Hopefully they fixed that with the Mk2 but I would wanna know that before buying them, and remember your ACL rights!
Micro USB in 2022? Pass.
They really should be selling this for $200 these days, arguably lower, but I say worse about the QC35 II and the XM3 & XM4.
Better tuned than both of them, better resolution.
