so to qualify for warranty you might need to go through UK
unsure if google will accept it directly
edit: yeah you will need to apply for return/refunds directly through UK
good news is you still have 30 days change of mind refunds and warranty on any faults - possibly 12 months
so should be ok, worst case you might have to spend $50 for the postage
@desync: It's still Amazon and i'm sure they still have their normal return policy.
UK would have an equivalent of ACCC and from my reading, they have 2 years warranty.
Best case scenario is to go via Amazon (the supplier) and get them to sort it out, worse case is to go through Google via their warranty.

I purchased it on 11 July and I still haven't be charged for the product and no date provided by Amazon.
I've bought the case for this already so it would suck if the order doesn't get fulfilled.
Just ended up getting Officeworks to price beat this and so got it for $668.95 and picked it up all good so have cancelled my Amazon order.

I called the price beat line and told them it was on Amazon and they searched it up themselves. They checked the model number (which is the same as the UK one anyway), colour and size matched and that it was in stock. They didn't even mention the fact that it was coming from the uk.

"Due to the shipping issues, (I am guessing supply chain/COVID especially overseas shipping) they(Amazon au) still waiting for the item to arrive in the country. He said estimated 25 August 2022 but can be faster depending on the shipping.

Definitely check the UPS delivery to get a better estimate on the delivery date! Assuming UPS estimates are better.

Phone arrived yesterday, unfortunately got a defective unit with a green tinted screen so going to have return it.
Apparently Amazon doesn't do replacements on global items, though the agent in chat said if I reorder after the return they'll refund the price difference so it's pretty much the same thing, just with more steps.

Ordered in 13/7, still showing as "not yet shipped". Seriously considering cancelling the order and just waiting for the pixel 7 since the whole point of ordering the phone is because I'm going overseas in mid September and my oneplus 6 has terrible battery life and is quite buggy.
