I also have personally had this sauce and its NOT awesome

Its like a bottle of sugar and chillies. Nando's sauce tops it in every way, or even Red Rooster's reaper sauce, and they both cost less.

i disagree… the Habanero is great. Nando's sauce tastes like pepper, and wouldn't even consider Red Rooster

Doesn't pepper complement most savoury food?
Nando's is savoury zesty lemon, bit of vinegar and requisite chillies … works great with chicken, chips

Caught the hype last time and ordered a set of Pinard Haba and Reaper, both of them taste like cabbage + sugar and generic chillies … and it's not a pleasant signature sweet taste eg tomato sauce or bbq.

Awesome hot sauce, the BBQ sauce especially is great on a B&E roll!

  • The price?

    • Added price to my Comment.

Anyone compared these to Culley's, which is my current go to? (I usually roll with the Brutality, Roasted Carolina Reaper, and the regular No.10 Reaper)

If there is a rep around: should offer a discounted "all the sauces" three-pack (without the jerky).

Culleys is top stuff. I currently have 3 bottles in my fridge. Love the ghost number 9. Not to mention all the others awesome sauces out there. Angry goat brand is up there for me, Secret Aardvark, Jersey Barnfire… List goes on.

I personally find chilli sauces with either sugar or vinegar as the first couple ingredients to be pretty average. Why even use sugar when there's a bunch of different fruits you can alternatively use as a sweetener with a more interesting flavour (apple, apricot, citrus etc.). And vinegar often just drowns out any flavour with acidity

    • I see vinegar-forward hot sauces really as a different style altogether. I do prefer less vinegary sauces myself, but they do have a place.

Depends what you're eating it with. eg. I tend to like a vinegar-forward style with eggs for breakfast. Mexican food - I want straight up peppers!

      • Yeah that's fair then - I guess they don't have much place in my food. Though I do think there's a correlation with cheap chilli sauces and vinegar.

Agree with Mexican food, you can get the acidity with jalapeno and/or lime easy!
