I received my suit today, it just turned up.

Received my 3 shirts and suit (black) today. Havent popped the shirts from their packaging yet, but just tried on the suit. Light and comfortable. It's 100% wool but has the shiny look and feel of a 95% wool/5% silk blend - the material and pin stripes is virtually identical to a favourite SABA suit that I have (which is 4x dearer).
Would not hesitate to order from these guys again.

I have received size 108 (reg) suit, but its too long at the shoulders and sleeves. I think the size 106 would be perfect for me, but could not find that size at all from the drop down menu. Do you have size 106 or can restock it?
What is the size difference between 108 (reg) and 108 (ST) in terms of chest, shoulders and sleeves ?

Unfortunately we do not stock size 106.
The difference between 108 reg and 108 short is 3cm in the length of the trousers. There is no difference in the jacket measurements.

Received my shirts today after ordering them on Thursday night. Great service again! Only one slight complaint - I remember when I ordered 4 VH shirts last time around, there was a black bag included as well which was great as it allowed me to carry the box from work to home easily.
I was hoping to get something similar, but this time there were zilch bags. This would cause inconvenience down the line when I order something in the future.
I questioned that my self. This was my first purchase with TMS and one of the reasons I decided to buy from them was because I read (from previous threads) that previous customers got this black bag included in their orders. I know the bag is not so much a big deal but if this is a sign of deteriorating service quality of TMS then it is a big deal for me. I would't want my next orders to be delivered solely in plastic bags. And also some customers in previous threads mentioned about no plastics, cardboards or needles in their shirts?? Were those shirts indeed different in packaging or again it is a sign of deteriorating service? I hope all my doubts are false?

Not all shirt brands use plastic bags and needles. so I guess it depends on the brand of shirt you have ordered?
Well, that's what I thought.
Mine were with needles etc but on previous threads some customers said that their shirts were delivered out of their packaging - intentionally. Maybe for good presentation purposes? Although this could be just an assumption of the customers. It would be great if a rep could clarify this. Especially since bashar20 and dumdidum reported below that their suit didn't come with the suit bag?
Just to clarify my VH shirts came with needles and cardboard, but for presentation they took them out of plastic bags for better presentation, yet attached the plastic bag to each shirt from the back.

Thank you for your feedback regarding our packaging. We do pride ourselves on our presentation, but in recent times we have cut back on the materials that we send out to our customers. This decision was taken from customers who felt that we weren’t being eco friendly as we were supplying to much packaging. In order to do this, we made the decision to only include our carry bags with orders that are being delivered to commercial addresses. We apologise to our customers at residential addresses, however we do hope that you understand that we are trying to be more eco-friendly with respect to this matter.

I can complete understand the reasoning, but my delivery address was indeed a commercial address (work address) which is why it was quite inconvenient to carry two large boxes back home (looking like a douche on the way). Not getting a carry bag would severely limit my ability to order stuff. I received my 5th order from The Men's Shop today so I'd hate to be on that boat.

I ordered one shirt, then I realised I could order two and apply the coupon. When I asked the rep about this she said it simply can't be done, even though I would've just added the 2nd shirt to and order and taken $20 off that. Will see how it goes, you guys seem to be getting different responses, e.g. "Email them and explain. Happened to me before too and they refunded me $20 quite willingly. Another +1 for their excellent service."

Anyone know a good tailor? Need to get my suit adjusted. A bit wide on some areas, like the arms. Pants could be a tad shorter.
What city are you in, and how far does your definition of 'good' go in terms of money? To get a suit taken in properly by a good tailor, you're looking at $70+
Good as in fairly unexpensive, does the job. I'm ok with spending $70 if they can make the suit fit a lot better. I have a irregular shaped body - skinny fore-arm, relatively large upper body, short legs.
I'm in Sydney by the way.
Unfortunately I'm in Melb, so can't suggest any directly.
I flick between two places, a really good one and a good one. The really good one charges $90 to take the waist of a suit in, the good one charges $65. However usually one set of seams isn't enough, as often the excess fabric needs to be taken out somewhere else as well (eg the back of the neck). Tailoring makes a bargain suit not so bargain :(

We do require the returns to come back in their black box, but if you've miss placed it you can return multiple items from different orders in 1 (box) pick up, as long as you've filled in their seperate return forms.

Just a dumb question… should I wash the suit (including the trouers) and the shirts before actually wearing them? I suppose for the shirts it's a yes but not sure about the suit as they're normally dry-cleaned >.<
You will ruin your wool suit if you wash it.
You don't need to wash anything. Just wear it.
and only dry clean when it really needs a dryclean.
drycleaning will slowly ruin your suit too.
Shirts, wash if you want, but the suit is ready to wear. As bashar20 pointed out, dry cleaning will eventually deteriorate the suit so only clean it when necessary and try and keep it clean where possible.
Trousers can be dry cleaned more regularly but again, try and keep them as clean as possible.

Is the black suit nice?
Yes bashar, the black suit is very nice, feels expensive.
For me the jacket was a perfect fit including the arms.
The pants were perfect around the waist, just length needs altering.
Awesome. Can't wait to check mine when I get home.

No, I got mine today and my 96/84 is a little tighter than expected but still fits well. Maybe that's what they mean by slimfit. I found that these 84cm pants were no bigger than my other size 82cm pants.

Ordered 2 shirts for about $35 and collected from post office today. Very happy!!!
My tracking number says "Status: Delivered" and signed my me (name incorrectly written), time was yesterday
but i was at work yesterday and nobody in my house signed for anything! Grrr!

Its a problem with the couriers tracking site. I had the same problem and called them today. The consginment dteails will probably be udpated tomorrow. Apparently they reuse consignment numbers so what you're seeing is another order - at some point the data will be updated to your order.

The bloody courier left it at a side door of my house which nobody uses (its very obvious when you see the house) They mustve thought it was the front door

It could have been there for a week if she didnt do the gardening today!
I just think that for express deliveries which need to be signed, how can they just leave it there like that (i prefer to have my parcels dropped off if nobody is home, just believe that their procedures should be followed if they are supposed to get a signature)
