Wasn't the last deal a higher spec than "classic"?

A friend of mine got a batch that was all broken and moisture damaged.

    • Did 1-day refund?

      • Yes I believe so - the photo looked pretty bad, would have been somewhat diabolical to have not refunded them. But I think they had to mail them back, which is a PITA.

  • No Paypal! Dammit!

    • $17.50 on Grocery Run. May be higher, but seeing that there are other items I need and they take paypal Im going that way.

        This man tells no lies!!

        $17.50 here!!

Don't forget shipping. I just bought 4 packs from 1 day for $65.95 shipped. The equivalent from GR would have cost me $81.00 shipped. "The more you know"…

  • Awesome price

  • Great deal, running low on tabs so timing is right on.

  • what is 'classic'? how is it compare to 'all-in-one', 'max in one'…

The UK version that tries to show the difference between types of Finish tablets:
    http://www.finish.co.uk/finish_which_is_the_perfect_products…
Interestingly, the UK site suggests the use of salt and rinse aid with Classic but not with All-in-One, but the AU site does not suggest the use of salt at all but does suggest the use of rinse aid with All-in-One, Max-in-One and Quantum…

The Max in1 link indicates that Max in1 "excludes Finish Quantum Odour Ne[utraliser?]…"
    The Finish site says:
All in1: Salt and Rinse Aid functions are included.
Max in1: No need to unwrap.

We don't need salt in most of Australia. In the UK the water is much harder.

And who cares about rinse-aid in the tablet? Your dishwasher has a reservoir to add it in the rinse cycle.

I've tried lots and they are all much the same in my washer, except one lot of chinese-made powder from Woolworths.
Will probably go back to powder as it is easier than removing wrappers.

It's clear that 90% of the "R&D" budget of Finish goes on marketing and packaging design.

  • I'm still in the olden days and use a sink. Has the ozbargain community calculated the water usage difference between dishwasher and sink and graphed the results?

    • +2

I haven't seen this, but the dishwasher manufacturers claim that machine washing is more energy efficient than hand washing, and I know what I'd rather be doing with my time.
My new dishwasher uses 12 litres of water in a cycle, which is probably about the same amount I would use to handwash and rinse the same amount of dishes.

    • From the Finish site:

Tips to save energy and water
      http://www.finishinfo.com.au/tips-save-energy-water.php

"Its great news for those of us with Dishwashers, not only do you get Diamond Standard sparkling results, you’re also helping the environment. Recent international study carried out by Scientists at the University of Bonn in Germany found that dishwashers in all investigated European countries use less water and energy than washing up by hand whilst having better cleaning results."
Unfortunately they do not link to the report directly and the website is in German.

Give us a good deal on the Quantum tabs

  • The picture shows more than 2kg in weight. This makes it cheaper than buying it in powder pack.

  • Has now expired, got in 3 mins before it ended, thanks OP

  • expired :(

  • I find the problem with these is that I have to run the washer on the longest cycle to get to the powerball, whereas my dishes wash perfectly in half the time with the cheap stuff
