Lettuce was $2 last month .
Just saying it's been cheaper so it might not be that great of a deal.
Fancy lettuce still is $2
You’ll be waiting a while for it to ever come back down to that price. However it has dipped to $1499 quite a few times.
And I must eat my words because https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/706826
Burpless Cucumbers were $1.99 last week
From Burpengary.
At 1299 it made alot of sense, this price not so much sense
I feel like it makes very little sense at this price unless you really want the extra 4". Can get the QD-OLED 34" for $200 more or an LG "Nano IPS" 34" for $500 less.
Thats what she said
The difference in vertical resolution between 1600 and 1440 is quite noticeable.
Yeah naah naah 38" is where it's at. Reasonably wide but it's the extra height which makes it good for work purposes.
Can confirm. OLED not worth going back to 34".
Did you get a chance to compare both? Or any video comparisions?
@[Deactivated]: I've used both a 34" and a 38" (non-OLEDs).
38" is perfect for a large desk one-monitor set up. 34" with any panel is a downgrade.
Not saying 34" OLED is a bad monitor, if you can get it for a good price go for it. The panel is definitely a set up from IPS. That said I've eyeball calibrated my 38" and it's awesome.
I'd only go for the 38" OLED if it ever comes out.
@Shard: Waiting for this. Not that there is anything I dislike about the 3821. Just an enthusiast.
What types of games do people play on these? I have a 34" myself but find myself gravitating to my TV more. Even at only 55" it's much more immersive. When playing twitch shooters or arpgs, i kinda don't really care about the aspect ratio since I'm just staring right in the middle. I think I actually preferred my 27" more for the "sit forward, serious type" games.
Would love this a for plane Jane work though, always felt 34" lacking in height.
I got this one specifically for the height, because I use it for both work and gaming. If it was gaming alone I'd be happy with a smaller monitor.
Is it too big to keep a second 27" monitor on the side? I mean would the second monitor be a bit far if you keep one?
If you already have 2* 27" monitors, how do you find them?
Personally, I have a primary 27" monitor directly in front of me and another off to the side which I use less often - I don't like having then bezel gap right in the middle.
At the moment, I find it kind of annoying to look to the side with 2* 27s, so I imagine adding one to the side of this would be really quite painful.
Can someone convince me that replacing my 2 x 27" setup with one 32" 4K is not worth it? - I cant get into the concept of an ultrawide, but sometimes 2 monitors feels too crowded on my desk
I work from home sometimes too so is a 32" good enough for those "productivity" tasks
4k at 32" is tiny. You won't be multitasking with 4 windows if that's what you're thinking. You'd probably be scaling the 4k monitor and end back up with qhd levels of real estate.
34 ultrawide will give you maybe 3 windows comfortably* but 2x27 is king imo for productivity, 49" if you have the money
I’d stick with the two 27’s personally
Single big 4k screen is great. I can't get into the ultrawide either.
I'm not a refresh rate hag though. So I'm using a 43" IPS @ 60Hz. Which is a little too big.
I have this particular monitor and it takes up less desktop space than 2x27" monitors. It's only 89.5cm wide, including the bezels.
Suitable monitor size and layout depends very much on the tasks you are doing and personal preference. That's one reason why there are so many different sizes on the market.
Sounds like your desk is the problem not the monitors. I use a 1.8m wide desk for example and find a single 49” (dual 27” equivalent) about right. I would consider dual 32” as the next step, not a single 32”.
Yeah I'd say op is in need of a desk upgrade.
I'm using an Ikea Bekant (160x80cm) for a 34" and 27" dual set up
im not going to lie i love mine. I have my old AW3418 as my secondary with 38" as primary and 27" 4k as my third
How do you position your monitors? I'm running a 32", 27" and 27" set up and I have to strain my neck to look at the side monitors already. Wondering if I can position these monitors better.
I have 34, 24, 24. My setup is 34 in the normal position, one 24 vertical on the right, and one 24 angled up below the 34 (bare in mind I have a 90cm deep desk so space isn't an issue).
Having the one on the right vertical means there's basically no strain at all, and the one below is for youtube/nba/netflix, so its in my line of sight whilst working.
Can you post a pic if you dont mind? Thanks.
Wouldn't the 48 inch c1 for the same price be better?
Really hoping they make a OLED version so I can replace my home one and take my AW3821DW to the office.
I've got a $450 JB voucher. I need this thing priced at 1450 so I can bring it to 1k and get work to pay for it!
one of the best purchases I made here, thanks to the offer posted by dealbot. $1,299 was so worth it.
will upgrade when the 38" Oled comes out.
but for now, this one suits my work/game uses.
=)Maybe ask if @dealbot get another $1299 Dell eBay deal?
Did anyone purchase this one and/or received it yet? How was it?
Expired.
