I am guessing MSY have Logitech Cordless M305 for $18 or M310 for $25
and Microsoft Retail Wireless 1000($18) and 3000($22).
this is good for people who wouldn't have access to MSY & it's delivered.
can't comment how good/bad are these wireless mouse,
for a non gamer like me, they are all the same!
Dell specs does not say whether it's laser or optical. My guess is that is probably laser, but if it's optical then it's no deal at all.
How do you tell?
It has got the red light when you turn it on.
Laser mice = no visible light = cannot see laser beam with naked eye.
Optical mice = uses ordinary LED light bulbs to illuminate surface = visible as bright red light
Laser mice - burns out retinas
If U look at it and go blind its a laser XD
I have one for about 2 years and I can say they are very good. For $25, you can't go wrong.
They are Bluetooth, so if your laptop has Bluetooth build-in, you don't need to have those wireless receiver taking up USB port or go missing.
The power management on the mouse is excellent as well, a pair of AA batteries can last 6 months or more with daily usage.
I also have had Bluetooth mouse from Logitech (M555b) and Microsoft (Wireless Mouse 5000) and the Logitech is rubbish, keep on losing the association with my laptop and kick the bucket after few weeks, MSY told me to deal with Logitech directly and want nothing to do with it. Microsoft mouse is much better than the Logitech, but doesn't last as long as the DELL mouse.
So between the Dell and MS mouse, which one would you get?
Does the Dell have back button?
They are both great BT mouse.
I like the buttons and the scroll wheel on the MS mouse better, it just "felt" into my hands better.
Having said that, the DELL mouse is the one I use everyday.
How come?
I feel the DELL mouse fits better into my hand, and the location of the back/forward button is better.
I would say that this mouse is just ok only…… Although it packs with the back and forward button, I am pretty sure most of us are really keyboard savvy and can live without it. I have one of these, and what I hate most about it is its size. They are way too small, good for portable usage but you might want to consider something else if you use it everyday.
Have had it for almost 4 years now! was working well for probably over 3 years but now its bit less sensitive. ITs not LASER!!
And i guess its made by Logitech….
Darn it. I've been in the market for a decent bluetooth mouse for ages. Unfortunately, I've already bought a pre-loved MS BT mouse - for even more than this Dell. :(
no worries mate, I had this mouse few years back, wouldn't say i love it. A bit too small.

Dont think they are on sale anymore but at $20 they are still cheaper
I purchased this mouse back in Aug 2008 and still never fails, if you have rechargeable batteries then can save heaps of $$, very comfy lil mouse
Is this a laptop sized mini mouse?
Full size.
I own one - the size is tiny (which is great for travel) .. but can be uncomfortable for continuous use if you have larger hands.
Using the mouse right now. It is lovely. My old one was laggy but this is perfectly responsive so far. Thanks for the heads-up. :)
Anyone think this is good? I'm planning on getting it but I'm wondering why there's barely any number of +ves/comments. Maybe there's just no interest in this item haha.
