Does anyone know how much they offer for a trade in for one of these? Haven't used mine since I bought it pretty much.
Sell it privately, you'd get this much.
I cash traded a few months ago (Level 4)
$578 for the Series X
$516 for the PS5
Values may have changedso they paid you back in cash that much money?
Why did you cash traded it both consoles?
Stupidity.
Now I purchased both consoles again LOL.@1r4n14n: Oh no
@SlowCarSlow: I could have got more if I opted for store credit. You lose 20% on cash trades.
@1r4n14n: Just buying then selling then buying again… bro
@SlowCarSlow: My life story bro.
I have done this with many things in life but mainly electronics.
I can't make up my mind and impulse buy a lot.
I'm very irresponsible with money.@1r4n14n: "I'm very irresponsible with money" - 99% of OzBers
@1r4n14n: When was this? I also thought there is a reduction for cash trades. However, in my most recent trade (albeit games), the store staff informed me I would get the same value cash or stored credit. I was a bit cynical and I asked again and he re-confirmed…
@netsurfer: I was always told by EB staff that cash trades are less 20%.
This was in January.
@1r4n14n: what?
that is pretty weird thing to do..
1)bought it at high price
2)sold it for lower price
3)bought it again at high pricestill don't know what was the actual reason you sold it…
Was it lack of games or something else? Also how much you paid for it originally and how much you paid again for the consoles?
@pinkybrain: I paid retail for both consoles.
Initially purchased due to FOMO and never used them. Then the regret set in so I repurchased.@1r4n14n: oic.. but why you sold it after buying it?
or is it the case that you had
FOMO so bought it then
regret that you bought it/paid too much…
So sold it at a loss..
And now regret selling it and bought it again?@pinkybrain: That's right.
Purchased them then couldn't understand why when I won't even use them. I actually CALLED EB to see if I can buy them back but they said it was too late LOL.
I know, I'm a strange mofo.@1r4n14n: so you game on it alot more now and what games you owned?
I still think the consoles
-price is still too high..
Unfortunately there is there is no incentive for them drop the price right now due to still high demand.-consoles still to big(PS5) and chunky(Xbox Series X)..
Hope revisions makes it more smaller/sleeker or gives more improvements in ray tracing performance etc..-games library is still not that big
@pinkybrain: 100% agree, they're not worth $750 IMO but others will argue that they are.
I'm currently playing Demons Souls on PS5 which was purchased for $15 thanks to OzB :)
The new PS+ is gonna be awesome next month!@pinkybrain: For people who took the EB pre-order deal(s) (console launch deal(s)), after the console trade in (+ 50% bonus for trading in games and/or accessories + your EB world level bonus) meant you would pay $50-$100 out of pocket per console (and it is common for people to get more in EB world credits after those trade in (if you traded in a lot of more)). You also received massive number of carrots (2x for trade in consoles, 1X for the new consoles, 2X for games and accessories). It will be hard to not even reach level 3.
PS5 and Series X are bigger because they are a lot quieter. Both are quieter than my PCs. XBox One X is reasonably quiet, but PS4 Pro isn't. They do take up a lot more space this time.
games library is still not that big
Both are backward compatible to previous gen games. The quality of life improvements on both are significant. It's good to see PC graphics card prices finally dropping. However, when you factor in everything, you still cannot build a PC with equivalent parts at the price of a console yet. Also, with an AMD based PC, it is near impossible to watch UHD blu-ray movies (unless you rip it in full first, which either requires a firmware hack on some special blu-ray writers or pay expensive price for a UHD blu-ray drive for PC). Intel PC, while it is technically possible, good luck with that.
@netsurfer: Yeah, I wish I had a console to trade at that time, that was a sweet deal.
They're really the only people who benefited from the next gen consoles (Again, IMO).
@pinkybrain: For the carrot? Lol just kidding.
@ce5himm: Hahaha that's a good idea! ;)
@SlowCarSlow CEX would be a better option to sell if it's in your area if you don't want the hassle of eBay or marketplace to sell yours
I wish we had a store in VIC :(
Look - I mean… I guess if you absolutely positively need one asap… but $50 off rrp of A new one is pretty… average?
Decidedly average.
if you absolutely positively need one asap
That's kinda like 90% of the purchases made here though.. then 3 years later, you are like.. "why?"
Come on. $50 off RRP for a used Xbox with a 3 month warranty? No deal.
Is this a joke? Oh wait it’s EB Games, nvm carry on
yes
and thesuckerbuyer is the punchline
No, the price isn't pretty good.
Brand new is just $750, just $50 cheaper….
Price is pretty good!
lmao
I'm not that desperate yet.
Xsx is pretty easy to buy right? Everytime eb opens preorder, it last like forever.
Yep, even easier if you're with Telstra.
This is not a deal
Hardly a deal for a used one.
Is it good? Maybe if you were going to buy from a reseller. But I'm not..
