So 10% off but can only pay in Telstra points ?

  • Can you pay Amazon Prime membership with GC?

Wonder if it’s worth jumping in on this 10% off GC to pay for Prime membership or if better to just buy the Prime membership from Telstra Plus?

Can no longer purchase Prime membership vouchers from Telstra Plus, ended Dec 2024.

Can you pay Amazon Prime membership with GC?

      Yes.

if better to just buy the Prime membership from Telstra Plus?

      Can't find the option.

    • better to just buy the Prime membership from Telstra Plus?

No! Well you cant any more, but I purchased a few and one wouldn't work, I was told by Amazon ti see Telstra & vice versa. finally i was told to wait for my current subs ro expire, which I did, still didn't work, so Telstra said bad luck! Took about 5 back & forths to even get the offer of a points refund.

      • That sounds like a bugger - sorry to hear you had such a bad run with this.

I took advantage of the 10% points back I saw on OzBargain in May 2023 ( https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/773445 ) to stock up on Prime memberships and my membership now expires in November 2028. This was just after the Prime price increase IIRC.

        How'd you manage that?
I'm still going through the live chat "wait 7-14 business days" "did you contact Amazon?" "wait 7 more business days"

10% off points, '10% off Select eGift Cards' can be misleading ?

    • +6

      Definitely misleading.

    • Fixed the title that was a direct copy from Telstra.

      Cheers for the heads up.

      Thanks Elon

Yeah this is less of a gift card deal and more of a burning-Telstra-points deal.

Thank you OP - I managed to utilise some points that probably would have gone unused.

    • Probably not as I can't find the $2 SIM in Telstra Plus. This is the cheapest option - Telstra $39 Pre-Paid SIM Starter Kit for 5400 points.

Bought Uber Eats to pay off a historical order so essentially converted points to cash, cheers!
