    Screen looks bent…

That'd be correct. 1000R curve to be exact, it's really more of a gaming thing, i'm not sure how annoying 1000R curve would be for productivity, i've got the Philips of the same size with an 1800R curve and that's actually pretty good imho.

      • Less refocusing with the eyes from center to edge may help some

This is actually 1800R not 1000R

    • shaped for the users mind…

With a monitor that big you need curve. Fine for productivity

  • How does this stack up against the original Samsung G9?

    • +1

The most noticeable benefits of the G9 are 240HZ and a much more curved 1000R curve. Brightness might be higher too.

  • Looks like the full resolution is only supported by DisplayPort, in case you're only interested in HDMI or USB-C connections.

    5120 x 1440 (Dual QHD) @ 120Hz – DisplayPort 1.4 3840 x 1080 @ 120Hz – HDMI 2.0, USB-C [1]

I really wish they'd make these with more height, not quite 2 stacked on each other but maybe 2096 instead of 1440. That would be perfect for productivity and immersion.

  • Its 2k

  • VA Panel🤮

  • Recently been approved for Work From Home going forward but have to use my own PC… so going to use this opportunity to upgrade my home (Gaming) PC prior to Tax time and looking at the 49" Ultrawide Monitors.

This? the Samsung Odyssey G9? G9 Neo? Or something like the Dell Ultrasharp/LG 49"?

Current setup has 2x27" monitors, possible stupid question but currently when gaming I frequently have the game running on the left display and a movie/TV show running on the R… Should be a problem on these sorta monitors right?

    • Yeah you'd just be running them in windowed mode and snapping them or putting them where you want them, take a bit of getting used to but works fine.

  • Appears to be out of stock….
