LG 65" C1 4K UHD Self Lit OLED Smart TV $2695.50 + $55 Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

1780
92FRENZY

Sure the C2 is having its first discount, but JB has "silently" discounted the 65" C1 to $2995 before the Click Frenzy coupon code.

I quickly checked the price history and I think this matches the previous historic low. Now the 2022 models are out, it's a price vs stock availability balancing act on these older models. Maybe this is your sweet spot?

Edit: kazer has pointed out that you can buy discounted gift cards to redeem at JB to reduce the price further to $2425.

    damn good price…..

  • Is the c2 worth the extra $900? šŸ¤”

    • Thatā€™s the question Iā€™m pondering
Also this is just for the bedroom for me so canā€™t justify that extra mullah to the boss

      • +15

If you're buying a 65" OLED for the bedroom without needing to justify it to the boss, what's an extra $900?

        • Haha I like the way you think

      • +1

does the boss have their own bedroom TV?

      • +1

canā€™t justify that extra mullah to the boss

Extra mullah in the bedroom will lead to awkward situation unless you're into it.

    • I guess with price protection it doesn't matter, it will likely be much cheaper in a year

      • +1

Just be aware of the price protection limits. I think 28 degrees is a max of $1000 per item.

    • +2

QD-OLED Tv's are coming with very new tech that'll bring noticeable improvements over standard OLED.
I wouldn't pay a premium for a C2 knowing the Samsung S95B and Sony A95K will be better.

      • I believe the G2 is the LG equivalent to those tvs.

      • I think the S95B is getting pushed to next year actually

  • There was one for 2550 yesterday but thatā€™s gone

  • off topic: Has anyone noticing "image retention" viewing on their new c1? the screen has not even done 4 hour and i notice this on the right side of the screen…

    • Not on mine, had it for 6months so far.

    • owned mine for over 8 months and not noticed anything yet

    • Haven't noticed any retention and have had mine for almost a year now.

    • I've had a CX for over a year and nothing at all for me yet

    • +2

Had mine for about 6 months and nothing yet. Can you post a photo of your issue?

    • Sure itā€™s not the renowned LG WRGB panelsā€™ pink tint issue? Or other uniformity issue?

Could be image retention tho, probably go to AVSForum and ask about it there.

    • edit: mines the 83" model.

will put a video up - initially i thaught it as because im playing compressed video but i see it in netflix menu and amazon prime…

  • +3

I love this TV! My only regret is I got fomo over not getting a bigger one.

    • +1

the cost seriously increase with the bigger size though

    • +10

Agreed! I got the 65CX but have a 77" size hole in my heart

      • +8

Better than a 77" size hole in your wallet :P

      • Damm I went from a 65" Samsung to the 77C1 and now I wish I got the 83C1 after getting used to the 77" šŸ˜‚ first world problems

    • Save a bit on power use I guess

    • +2

      i jumped from a 55" to 77"
      no ragrets

  • +2

$2701 delivered, PLUSMAY1 - worth watching if eBay do another 10% code this week

  • +1

save an additional 10% using giftcards from here bringing it down to $2425.
For people on the fence : This is a solid price and I cant recommend the tv enough.

    • isn't there a maximum amount you can spend of 500 giftcards

      • nope. the maximum denomination of a jb gift card you can buy online is $500 and you can probably only buy 2 before the system blocks you out for a day (automatic fraud prevention or something). so its best to go instore to use the gift cards to buy physical jb gift cards.

      • Wasn't it $500 max for each gift card? not just max

        • I just bought 5x $1000 gift cards at $4500. $500 is the max discount.

    • +1

      Thanks, updated!

    • I thought I read somewhere that you can only use one gift card per transaction, and there is a max value of $1000

      • +1

the ultimate gift cards are eftpos cards so if you use them directly then yes, max 1 per online transaction with max value $1000. If you want to spend more, you need to use the ultimate gift cards to buy jb gift cards (preferably instore) and then use the jb gift cards.

        • thanks for the information kazer I bought the gift cards you suggested. so I need to go in store to buy the jb gift cards first the pay for the tv with the jb cards? sorry a bit confused

I got the ultimate ones in the link you provided

          • +3

@ste05: that is correct. you go instore and buy jb gift cards with the ultimate gift cards and then use the jb gift cards online to buy the tv.
Also do remember that the ultimate gift cards are eftpos cards (treated like a normal visa card). So when you go to the counter, let them know that you will be splitting it up and using multiple cards (once again dont tell them that you are paying by gift cards but instead a regular cc).
You can go through the deal comments where WookieMonster has explained everything in detail and covered all possible questions. Full credits to him.

            • @kazer: awesome. I actually bought the tv at full price with my credit card then later got the gift cards. the store said they could cancel and take the gift cards when I get there. my head is spinning a bit by all of those after the spontaneous purchase

so I guess when I buy the jb gift cards instore with the ultimate gift cards I will then give them back the jb cards shortly after

              • +1

@ste05: did you buy the tv online or instore? the click frenzy 10% off coupon code is online only. so if you walk into the store and place a new order, I'm not sure if they'll be able to do it for you.

                • @kazer: I bought it online but it is ready to pickup at a store. I spoke to a good guy that I'm seeing on Sunday to go through options. he said he could do it online again but a bit unsure about those ultimate gift cards. he said he could do some dummy online order again and pay with the jb gift cards

                • @kazer: I went in to Epping (vic) store today and asked the lady to apply the click frenzy code to the tv. She happily did it. She told me they had instructions that if a customer asked for only then do it. I spoke to her on the phone before making the trip. Craigieburn JB store didnā€™t want to know about it.
So 10% click frenzy code applied (they already had it with them, she checked it online and applied it to in store purchase)
I could also use all my TCN and Ultimate gift cards

          • @ste05: JB should match the 10% discount in store. So you will be able to use multiple cards in the one transaction.

    • It not available at my local JB. Can I still order it from there, pay using discounted cards and have it delivered?

      • Yes of course

        • How do I apply the 10% coupon then?

  • is this worth the upgrade from my Samsung UA55NU8000WXXY 55" ???

    • +4

It is definitely a big upgrade, but only you can answer is it worth it.

  • I bought the 65 inch CX about a year ago for $3k.

    Ripper TV.

    • Same. Hurts to see it go lower. Although i now wish I went bigger!

  • Do you guys notice the difference in picture quality on all formats? Or only blu-ray 4k?
I mean 4k Oled vs other 4k TV?

    • +2

You will notice the difference in any movie that has dark scenes. For example 1917 looked fantastic during the night scenes, but on my old 4k tv the dark scenes looked terrible, grey and washed out.

  • Hey guys, Iā€™m moving into a new place in September and need a new TV. Heard good things about this one, should I get it now or you reckon it will drop further?

    • +10

There probably won't be any stock left by September. Buy now and enjoy.

      • This is the answer

      • appreciate the response. my issue is i currently have a mounted tv (landlord's), so if I buy this i wont be able to open until September haha..

  • Any leads on c2 77 yet?

  • +1

The only reason I am holding off for this tv, is it's upscaling, it is just not as good as Sony TV's. How free to air channels look on this 65 inch tv?

    • Lol the Sony has a 0.1 better score for upscaling, I have a 77C1 for FTA viewing in the morning and it's perfect looks sharp and crisp on all the HD channels

  • Any thoughts on Sony Bravia 85" 4k UHD? Or suggest any 85" around the budget of $3200.

  • Paid $2,120 for this TV. Absolutely loveeeeeee it!
    Highly recommended!

    • +2

      $2,120..Can you explain, how?

      • +2

Sure. Last time (just one month ago in April) when JB put LG C1 65ā€ on sale, the price was $2,995. I went in store and asked ā€œWhatā€™s the best price we can do for this one?ā€ ā€œ$2,495 including the deliveryā€ ā€œWow, can you please send the link to me?ā€ ā€œDoneā€
I went home and applied the extra 5% code and paid with discounted TCN Home cards (I combined them into a single one couple of months ago)
Then on the next day, I got the C1 delivered! The best part of it is that Monday was 18/04/2022. I didnā€™t know that JB in my area can do delivery on public holidays beforeā€¦. šŸ˜…

    • did it get them to price match dodds?
cs wouldn't do it for me saying its a fake website

  • +15

For anyone interested in the C1 55" steps on how to get it for $1,666.70

Price match with JB over the phone/chat the C1 with Applicances online @ 2,070.00
Stack coupon code from this deal to get a further 10% off to bring it down to $1,863.00
Purchase discounted gift cards at 10% and paid $1,676.70 for these
Finally use this coupon to get a further $10 off bringing the cost price to $1,666.70
    (ymmv)

    • How do you use discounted giftcards online order?

      • +1

You will need to convert UGC or TCG into JB Hi-Fi gift cards first. Did this in store yesterday and had no issues.

        • The question is do i risk going in store and them not letting me get the giftcard thats over 2k in gift cards haha

          • +1

@harryozz: Gotta risk it for the biscuit.

            • @cya: i bought one gift card of $1000 but it wont add to my apple wallet so i cant go in store to get it???? says it needs to be added to some stupid wallet app that doesnt work

              • @harryozz: Add to Apple wallet as a 'credit card'

                • @cya: I dont know how to do that, i clicked add to wallet, but nothing happens

                  • @harryozz: Don't press add to wallet. Instructions on how to do this.

                    • @cya: Thank you that worked, can you pm me ill send you some cash, just saved my 1k. why that link posted anywhere else is beyond me, so straight forward to add it.

          • +1

@harryozz: Yeah same, not worth risk I thinkā€¦

    • Did you actually try that?
When price matching, they will just say their price after coupon is cheaper.

      • +1

Yes and It was worth the try

        • Tried, exactly the same as what i expected, lol. Thanks for sharing tho.

        • Tried again and got the price i need.

          • @mrhorse: Nice work - can i ask what price?

            • @cya: I am looking for a 65 inch and the price after coupon is $2565

              • @mrhorse: Managed to price beat at TGG, $2445 not too bad.

    • @cya Could you please kindly post an image of your checkout showing the $1863 price? It would be very helpful for those of us that would like to lodge price protection claim. Thank you very much for your help.

Got the 65 C1 for 2400 today from Jb.

    • +1

      How did you do that?

    • Cpuld you please share your receipt? Many thanks

    • Could you share receipt?

    • +1

Sorry guys I've been flat out, all I did was price match doddsby over the phone at my local store and piggyback the 10%.

JB price match line won't do it, so do it with the people that know any better, aka the retail workers. It's being shipped tomorrow.

Great TV but the new WebOS sucks

    • Agreed, not sure what LG have done with the C1.
The WebOS from my B7 OLED works much better and is a lot faster

      • +1

        Make people buy c2

      • +1

Yup - my B8 interface is way better.

    • Chromecast with Google TV = Happy days.

    • What's wrong with it? It's fine on my C8
