12inch Sub - Inbuilt Amp $99

50

Hi been looking around for subwoofer for my car and came across these.

What you reckon?

This 200watt RMS matched sub and amp provides unbelievable bass for the price. If you treat it well and dont run it into distortion you will get years off clean punchy bass.

I can get a 12 inch sub from subway for $7, no deal.

    • And even that is a rip off :)

      • I dunno… I'm pretty happy paying $7 for the chicken fillet atm! When it goes back to $10 I'm outta there though!

Chicken fillet you say?! No Way!!

      You win the internet today

    • But there's only a double meat or toasted option, no fully sik amp option.

Recommended is spelt wrong so neg from me. Just kidding it seems like a pretty good price. I'd love to tell you more but there is no info on it.

I personally wouldn't buy no name brand subs or speakers.

    • I had a no name brand Strathfield Car Radio's Sub for around the same price and it did the job.

      • that would depend on what the 'job' you bought a sub to do was…

  • They seem fully sick brah.

    • Requires a copy of "Pump It"

There's nothing wrong with installing a sub in your car.
The only issue I take is if you install a huge ass sub and don't upgrade the speakers in your fully bodykitted Excel. All you hear is bass and not the actual song. The cool thing is to wind down all windows and blare out vibrating farting noises.

      • No need to upgrade the speakers, just dial up the Treble and dial down the Bass.. Let the Sub handle 90% of the low end.

        • Yes, those 10 watt stock full-range drivers sound fantastic when pushed. Distortion and clipping has never sounded clearer. ;)

  • You get what you pay for
    Remember that

Except on ozbargain where quality can (if you take the time to read the comments) be got cheap.

  • Seems like the usual price?

And I would personally never go near a ported sub. Always too muddy.

  • It would be this

I'd actually buy one knowing its jaycar, their stuff is good when you're on a budget

  • ok since the response seems bad, which sub do you recommend? how about this one for $200

    • I don't think anyone said its 'bad' you just you get what you pay for. Whether paying double will get you twice as good a product, i have no idea lol.
