Offer Terms:

During the 16 hour promo, cashback for BWS is capped at $30 in total per member account, irrespective of the number of transactions made. Valid 8am to 11:59pm AEST 12/05/2022. Penfolds is excluded from cashback. Online only offer.

            @Charlie Dont Surf: Thanks. We've just made 3 test purchases using sign-up code S8n3-T4p-e7u and all 3 tracked after 15 minutes. Yours also tracked after 15 minutes with code use, yet others are reporting less success. It's so difficult to know or understand what's going on as literally thousands of transactions have successfully reported to members so far. We're going to keep prodding away for answers with BWS and their affiliate team. Thanks again.

            • @tightarse: Seems those that ordered early on, myself included, (ten minutes after deal opened) aren't being tracked with using the code.

              Do you suggest we cancel/re order again since nothing from early on has tracked if using new sign up

            • @tightarse: I ordered as an existing customer and was confirmed tracked within 5 mins. Then my wife ordered as a new customer with $10 new user code, using her Cashrewards account and 2-3 hours later still hasn't been tracked. It's in her click history, but no tracking. (She used the same computer, same browser, same process, no ad blocker, etc). What now?

              FWIW, I did my purchase on the PC, using Microsoft Edge, all adblockers off, signed into Everyday Rewards. (ER seemed to lower some prices even more for me.)

                @Charlie Dont Surf: Stressful is not the right word - feels like the weight of the world is on my shoulders right now. It appears every time a BWS deal comes up, there's an issue. But we'll get to the bottom of it and sort it out, as we've always done. Will update more here as I get more info. Again, thank you all for your patience.

  • I might do another order (not using the new sign up code, as I've already used it) and place another order for the same. Then call the store and get them to cancel the original order.

    Actually, best might be to get them to cancel the order first, then re-order. I can just imagine them cancelling the order that actually tracked.

    Or better yet, use a different BWS store for the pick up of second order

  • LPT: tell your BWS store what time your order was fulfilled to help them find your order. Just walked to the Haymarket NSW store from work to pick my order up and they're getting smashed with orders.

      • Tracked spend amount is $83, so yeah it must be including GST. Included GST in the last 40% BWS deal at SB too.

        This will be interesting to see if now it's been tracked, they actually pay out on it.

        I cancelled my order because it didn't track when I used my new sign up code.

        Looks like a 95 day wait to confirm unfortunately

    Could it be that people using the $10 new user code didn't get tracked before a certain time today, then they fixed the issue for those who ordered after this. But not fixed retrospectively for those who ordered before this time?

    Hi guys. An update as promised.

    For those that have not tracked, confirmation from BWS that anyone that used the signup code mailed to them directly in an email will have cashback added to their Cashrewards account (and approved after verification) by submitting a Cashrewards claim after 7 days (mod: edit grammar). Strong provisos are:

    1. You are deemed by BWS to be a brand new customer that has never shopped or used a code previously.
    2. Followed all terms of purchase, including not using gift cards or Everyday Rewards dollars as payment.

    The other option you have of course is to cancel your order if you prefer not to claim. Again, thank you for your understanding and patience. Not sure why some members have not tracked, but there are certainly thousands that have already. I'll be having a drink on your behalf tonight. Cheers :)

    • Worked out why mine didnt work after reading the above. First never got the code in an email after I created a new account - just used the code that is generic. Checking my email I saw that I had purchased something from BWS online in 2016 (but didnt create an account at the time) - hence not a new customer which would explain why they didnt send me the code.
      Ordered again without any codes and it tracked fine. Will cancel the first order later.

        Others please take note above ^^^ re possible reason for not tracking. BWS must deem you a new customer. Please don't submit claims if you fall into this category as they will be declined. You're better off cancelling your order and re-purchasing without code. Thanks.

          Surely if your spouse creates a separate BWS account and pays with their own credit card, this can't be declined as a 'multiple account'? If so, this should have been put in the terms at the start.

            @smd100: I hope that common sense prevails. My partner signed up for this, based on the information in the original post. New account, all details are new, a new customer in every sense of the word. If this is declined, then this is a seriously misleading offer for those who took it in good faith.

          • @smd100: My wife created a new account with BWS but linked my Cashreward account which I've had some history purchasing from the store.
            I think that may also be the reason why my purchase was not tracked.

            • @Tekkky: My wife used her own CR account, but still didn't get tracked, so it's probably not that.

          What a royal PIA this is for those that Stacked $10 new Customer code. Based on this we all need to

          a: Wait 7 days before we can submit a claim.
          b: Waste time having to prepare and submit a claim.
          c: Hold our breath while waiting to hear back to find out if BWS will pay.
          d: If they don't pay, then waste more time (on principle) chasing and proving one is indeed a "new customer"

          Not at all good BWS. Perhaps next time around, it might be best not to Promote/Stack with $10 new customer deal (or at least have a big warning). It will save the headaches for all involved?.

          Oh and Thanks TA for all your efforts so far. It is appreciated and out of your control.

    • Thanks TA. I did what many have mentioned and created a new account to take advantage of the $10-off new accounts. Used the code they emailed me. Really can't remember if I've used one through other accounts but suspect I would have at some time.

      I would assume therefore my case will fail proviso #1. That being the case I will cancel this and reorder as there is no way the $10 off creates the same sort of value as 40% off.

      tldr: if my assumption is correct, don't create multiple accounts for $10 discount.

        Yep, I reckon BWS is onto it re multiple accounts.

      • Don't forget you can pay with egc if you don't care about cashback.
        40% off is gst adjusted and there is a $30 cap

        I think it works out at a ~30% discount vs 40% cashback. With the latter requiring wait and some risk of having it rejected etc.

      • And (following on from my comment above) I placed the same order again minus the code (through my older account). It tracked in 12min.

        I have collected the 'tracked' order, and the guy at bws helped cancel the 'untracked' order. I can already see the PayPal refund notification.

      Just checked my email - never had a BWS account nor any purchase history (that I can recall at all).

      I have purchased things from BWS in store though but surely that is not included (used Everydays reward card)..?

      *edit: I ordered around 10:30 AEST. Seems to be when a lot of people in a similar boat to me are having issues with earlier order times and not tracking

      • Same as you, ordered at 10:26 AEST and mine didn't track. Definitely never ordered from BWS online before using any email address. Didn't try to "use my wife's account" or anything like that to circumvent the new account rules. Maybe there was an issue during a specific period today?

  • Signed up as a new member but forgot to tick newsletter or sms. When I go back to "my account" and tick newsletter or sms, it doesn't save. When I go back to "my account", it always says "no"

    I used card to pay which didn't track hence the cancellation. They have issued a coupon instead of refund to card. Now on the phone trying to settle it.

  • @tightarse Ordered earlier, gone store to pick up now after work & half order was cancelled no stock is left. Do I at least get part of cash backs on the purchase? Can we place another to get amount which is now missing? Just upsetting on a huge %

          Hi, and apologies for the slow response. As you can see, it's been a crazy day. I can't give a definitive answer, but I would like to believe that BWS would adjust the sale value to the amount less the the out of stock items. If they do happen to decline the entire order, reach out to our support team and they'll raise it with BWS for resolution. Thanks.

    The issue i have is that Cashrewards system failed. People who used the code early today did everything required of them and now have to go through the manual process to try to claim and hope for the best. People who used the code later in the day tracked without issue.
    Its turned from a deal to a game of chance. Not good enough, especially when money is involved.

      With due respect, I disagree. Reports now indicate plenty of members used the code successfully this morning. The issue is that we're unsure why some failed to track with its use which is why we posted this notice. We were on the front foot and it's something we pride ourselves on when things don't quite work out - we've always been forthcoming, and unfortunately this industry is not an exact science. BWS wants to get to the bottom of this as well and we're doing everything we can to help - I call that a success, not a failure :)

        Nah. Twice in a row BWS not tracking. Extension installed. Did all the right things. Use it all the time - always tracks. BWS - nope.

        Had to do it manually last time. Will have to do it again. 7 day policy means I have to make a reminder in my calendar. I should have cancelled the order.

        Sorry mate - there's enough people in here saying it didn't track to take notice. While I appreciate you guys being on the front foot, I was on the front foot too and finished my order before this was posted.

        BWS tracking is 0 for 2 for me. I won't bother again.

            @tightarse: Neither occasion. I use CR regularly and the only thing that doesn't track is BWS.

            Starting to feel way more like a gamble than a rebate service. I'll miss it.

      I think so, my account was linked to my rewards card & my order was tracked. Just don't redeem any of your Everyday Rewards dollars when you finalise your payment.
