  • Any chance of gerting it shipped? Expiry date?

  • Second that :) Do you have shipping available?

    • Expiry says Aug '13. Shipping? It doesn't look like it, from looking at the site - couldn't find this product either.

I used this stuff in powder form some years ago and it was 'effective'. A reasonably priced source would be appreciated if anyone has one - tabs and caps are a ripoff generally, IMO.

  • The dosage of glucosamine is 750 mg, taken twice daily had proven to reduce osteo arthritic pain.

    • That's right. Plus the same for MSM and Chondroitin sulfate with a multi vitamin/mineral thrown in for balance.

  • Thank you for your interest in our products. We would be able to ship these bottles of glucosamine and charge for the standard postage and handling fee.

We accept credit card payment through the phone, however, we currently do not have facility set up for paypal yet.

Please call us on monday at Lim's pharmacy on 03 9562 4233 and speak to our pharmacist.

  • What does shipping cost per bottle. And what is active ingredient percentages per pill?

Have made enquiries on bulk buying elsewhere from EU and will update when I have a reply.

  • Before spending money on Glucosomine you might like to read this, the comments at the end are worth a read , too.

The article questions the efficacy of NSAID's by the same token and In my experience they work, no doubt about it. It also holds placebos up as a measure of efficacy but doesn't mention the power of belief as important a factor.

The fact is I am not too impressed with this blog post any more than mainstream science when it comes to what is good for me. Scientists are always changing their minds about it and when it comes down to it what matters is my own experience. Everybody's got an agenda, even if it's just to get their name out there. And the quickest way is to pick sides in an argument - you can even make a lot of money doing so. Here in Oz the supplement industry is pandemic.

At one point in the article the potency of something/anything, because it is a small amount, is also questioned. I wonder if the author has ever tried LSD at the usual microgram dose/s? :)

On another tack; wouldn't the big Pharma companies just love to have a monopoly on the manufacture and supply of these chemicals? Then see what they will cost, these miracle chems.

The fact is you can't believe anybody but your own common sense and/or experience. I don't think everything works for everybody either, basically because every body is a chemical factory in its own right and it's makeup is unique at any given time so will respond differently to the same thing as its neighbour - unless the dose is high enough or the chemical powerful enough to override local conditions.

      YMMV

EDIT : Meds, of any kind, if they work, are really only to get me over the condition and as a reminder when the condition reasserts itself. Taking drugs/chemicals as a matter of habit is not a good idea, IMO.
