KLIPSCH Black RP-600M Bookshelf Speakers $700 Delivered @ SSENSE

330

Was looking for a set of used RP600MS's and found this amazing deal on SSENSE. Usually the price is around $1200.

I've reviewed them and they blew me away. I'm planning to use these as front L and R for my HT until I upgrade to a set of decent floorstanding ones.

Overseas product. Description says made in USA but I'm not so sure about that. Most of the Klipsch products are made in China except their RF series. EDIT: Confirmed by strangeloops66 here - made in China.

Not sure about stock. Get in early.

  • nice, very good choice for the price!

  • Good find, definitely a nice price.

  • Wow, didn't realise SSENSE started selling speakers. Great deal OP!

Tested here: Klipsch RP-600M Speaker Review I’m not one to spoil someone’s expensive purchase. “The RP-600M is super popular with tons of bloggers giving it praise.” and Stereophile giving it good praise as well.

I have and own JBL LSR305P MKii Review for bedroom application not nearfield (hiss problems) and was curious if that Klipsch are worth upgrading to for a bedroom setup, seems not maybe really.

Nonetheless enjoy and don’t regret it. It’s EQ-able if the mids for the 600m are dipped.

    • Reviews are one thing. But anyone who has auditioned these would tell you how amazing they are.

  • I'm gonna bite the bullet

Probs insane overkill for my small room

    Rest of my set up

    Centre: RP450C
    L/R: RP6000F
    Surround L/R: R-41M (replacing with the RP600M)
    Sub: SVS PB1000 Pro

That's a decent setup. They might be an over kill. You could also go with the Rp502s.
But it was hard for me to pass up on this price. I might just use these as stereo next to the TV.

      • The 502s won't work with my room setup, I'm sure I'll be stoked with this, coming from a r41m

Couldn't pass up this price either

I'm house saving (at home with mum currently) so at least when I move out I'll have a pretty amazing setup

        Thanks for posting

        • I have am building almost exact same system but with Rp502s. And would replace these rp600ms with rp6000fs at some point.

          What receiver are you using?

          • @Mikedrop89: Same L/R RP6000F’s
            Sub: PB2000 Pro
No surrounds but looking at these or RP502s
            Will get a centre eventually
            Yamaha RX-A2A

          • @Mikedrop89: Just an old Yamaha RX-V773, playing the waiting game for a 2022 receiver with plenty of 2.1 inputs etc

I forgot to add I also have 2 Klipsch CDT-5650-C II to use for Atmos when I get new receiver (whenever that is)

  • So what else do you need to purchase to make this work, some kinda amp?

Also so this won't do 5.1? How does this compare to z906? If you just want decent 5.1

    • You would need a stereo Amp or an AV receiver for these. You can build out a 5.1 system by adding other speakers and a sub. Z906 vs these is not a fair comparison. These are some really powerful speakers with great sound quality. With z906s you would get a surround experience but the quality wouldn't be anywhere close to these.

  • reviews seem to be too tinny/high and not good for long listening times.
Most of them reccomend to get the Q Acoustics Q3030i

    • Yeah people always say that about klipsch in general. I personally don’t have an issue with the klipsch sound, but I don’t wear tweed or Lycra, just jeans and tee shirts ( what do audiophiles wear?)

      • +3

It sounds tinny when filtered through the safari flaps on their fedora.

      • +2

I agree. The new RP series is pretty decent but all I keep hearing from the Audiophiles is that klipsch uses horn tweeters and they are too bright.
Personally I like the klipsch sound.

        • I think you'll find a lot of those comments about Klipsch being bright is more on the Reference series, they're definitely mellower on the Reference Premier series.

    • Depends on the amp you pair them with. Bright speakers pair better with neutral or warm sound signature amps. Because the RP-600M is a high sensitivity (96db) speaker you don't need much power to drive them. This makes them awesome to pair with budget tube amps as well for that rolled off top end.

Don't forget an EQ, either DSP or analog, will do wonders to tailor the sound to your preference and room.

  • As OP rightly suspected, these are not made in the US of A

(refer pictures immediately before "Setup" section)

  • What a crazy deal! Were these the first version or the new improved version?

    • These were the originals. Not the new ones. But still a great deal. Got my delivery in 4 days all the way from Canada.

      • Ah I see, didn't even know that website sold speakers! Yeah massive discount, but quite a bit cheaper overseas in US it seems! Oh they shipped from overseas too?

        How do you find them?
