Gas is better but depends on what you are trying to do! Gas set up is expensive and not for everyone either.
Hrmm I do keep saying I need to learn to weld..
I said the same thing, learned enough to get into trouble from a welder friend, did a small job, looked like a pigeon had walked along taking a sh1t occasionally in some random order… haven't repeated it as we lost everything in the 2019/2020 bush-fires and moved, then covid.. and here I am :)

Not a bad deal for the home handyman, little underpowered but for the price good deal, next best imo is unimig viper 185 but lot more expensive. After that most would require 15amp outlet. Mind you too I never use gasless wire just doesn't weld as good as an argon mix.
