They can charge 300 because this piece of shat is 265.
I reckon I can get 500+ for my 1050.
450 ok?
@axlfan: 490, will throw in a free 70GB Samsung 5,600rpm HDD.
@Domicron: Will take it if you can add one RAM stick 8 GB 2200 Mhz and 1 tube of thermal paste.
under $250 and ill bite as good as a 1060
This should really be a AU$200 card, but precovid times are way gone…
Not worth it for HTPC as it lacks AV1 decoder. Otherwise it would be a good buy.
Youtube/Netflix etc are all switching to AV1, they are trialing it already.
Good to know , What card else support AV1 ?
Pretty much only Nvidia Ampere (3000 series) and AMD 6000 series but not this gimped out card. Also Intel 11th+ gen supports it.
Rx5500xt
Check out this video on Ryzen 7000 APUs first > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpxArd_DlH0#t=3m35s
Naturally, you should take this info with a grain of salt.are 6000 desktop apus even here yet ?
They won't be here until after Ryzen 7000 drops. It'll be using the new AM5 socket so they need boards on the market before they can start selling them.
Shouldn't everyone be avoiding the 6500XT GPU?
fine for mobo with pcie gen4 slot
How can I find out if I have gen 4?. Pc from this deal : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/665268.
check motherboard for Z590 or B560 chipset
download install cpu-Z to check if you don't want to open the case
@dcep: yeah just did that now its 3 not 4 :(
I dont think anyone should be buying this for anything over $200 delivered.
Get a used rx 5500 xt for $260.. thats what i sold mine for to upgrade to a rx6600
Maybe we will see another $699 prebuilt with RX6500XT again from BPC if this goes down to $200?
Wow, cheaper than an RX 6400. Hopefully we see some more price drops on the low end.
for my use case, i don't need more than this card. not sure how low it'll go, but if it gets to sub 250 or closer to 200 ill buy for a new build…unless of course we get better budget card releases in the next few months.
Same here, waiting to upgrade my 3400g for some more processing power and want something similar or better than the Vega 11.
Most people don't I'd say. I think for the extent of gaming I do, I'd rather this card and know I was getting relative bang for buck.
Seems this card is roughly equivalent to Nvidia GTX1650 Super if anyone wondering.
Can't believe people are asking for 300+ on well abused 1070.
