Pixel 6 cheaper than normal. Usually $999 from local retailers although there have been some deals recently. For those that missed out this might be an option for you. It is unlocked and should work fine in Australia.

Pixel 6 works much better on ProtonAOSP, a custom ROM.
Would be crazy to buy it with the hope that third party roms make it bearable. This is an expensive phone already.
Yeah I feel the same there, it’s a shame you have to do it. I cannot recommend the Pixel 6 to the average joe as of right now. For example approx 60% of the time my refresh rate was at 60hz and only 40% actually running at 90hz which infuriated the cr@p out of me…
@ChineseElectronics: I've had every flagship Pixel since launch and have to say my 6 Pro has been pretty amazing, it's a shame that the reports seem to indicate the standard P6 is not the same experience. The only gripes I have with mine are the fingerprint scanner (in display readers need to die in a fire) and the ultrawide being a little soft compared with the main/telephoto sensors, but hardly dealbreakers for me.
Agreed. so many unfixed bugs and minimal support from Google. Just gave up and bought a 13 pro max instead.
That's scary, to think the flagship from Google is suffering and people are recommending a custom rom. In 2022.

yep the fact I have a mate who is an out and out, since gen 1, Pixel fan (we all had Nexus prior to that too) and he got rid of his for a Samsung tells me to avoid! I never would've believed he would do such a thing.
is google clearing stock to make way for pixel 6a?
Possibly due to an expected announcement of the 6a in the next month or so.
Is it the same for the 6 pro as in bug issues or just the 6?
I am so glad that I am not the only one who hates this Pixel 6, like many above said, too many bugs. Mine freeze a lot and I really hate the user interface, I miss Samsung and LG for ease of use, when I first wrote about my bad experience with Pixel 6 I got howled down a lot, now looks like I am not the only one who has issues with this phone !
I don't notice any bugs using my 6 though not sure what bugs people are complaining about. If there's one thing it's definitely the finger print scanner. Compared to my last phone I do miss oxygen OS on my OnePlus which feels superior imo.
I would avoid pixel 6, so many bugs.
