  • Reaction to looking at photo only - 'what do you need wifi claymores for?'

    • I had no idea what purpose they serve, but my initial reaction to the pic was “damn they look like cool tech!”

      • live streaming, such as corporate event of weddings

    • So you can sign up to the app? Share your detonation events with your friends on the social medias? Use the "find my claymore" feature if you lose them?

      The possibilities are endless.

    • I thought wifi printer cartridges haha

  • 1080p no thanks

    • Depends what you need it for.
1080p is fine for streaming online. But agree, if you wanted to shoot 4k footage, transmit it wirelessly to a mixer and then play that footage on a 4k projector to a gathered audience then this would not make your content look so good.

For the rest of us who aren't (and don't need to) broadcast in 4k - then a wireless 1080p kit like this is just fine.

  • I purchased a Vaxis Atom two years ago to add a "close-up" camera to the courses we present online (https://dragonimage.com.au/products/vaxis-atom-500-wireless-…).
I was looking at the Hollyland 400s at the time but decided that the cheaper price of the Vaxis Atom outweighed the slightly better specs of the 400s.

I'm glad I did go with the Vaxis because in real-world usage, there has been no noticeable lag (especially when streaming the courses online) and that's with the video feed via the Vaxis Atom being delivered separately to the audio feed - any sync issues (if they exist - I haven't bothered to play back the footage one frame at a time) are not noticeable in the slightest.

By all accounts, the Hollyland 400s is the better product, but I can't fault the Vaxis Atom and I would buy another if for some reason I needed a second wireless unit.

    • Oh, and whilst the Vaxis Atom is a slightly bigger unit (both TX and Rx), the antennas are internal, so the little "pack-of-cards" sized box is all there is.
