Google Pixel 6 $699 / 6 Pro $999 + Del - Tradein Value (min $10) after $300 Bonus Trade in Coupon @ JB Hi-Fi

710

Very similar to this deal but with extra $100 trade in coupon. I am stealing the title from that deal :D

JB Hi-Fi Trade-in by Square Trade operating hours: Monday - Sunday 7:00am - 11:30pm ADST

All Google Pixel phones on JB Hi-Fi

The banner on the product page of each phone looks like this

From JB coupon graphic/banner on Pixel 6 product pages:
"Get it for less with a JB Trade-in plus an extra $300 JB coupon! Upgrade faster with immediate credit. Trade in your old phone before 17 April and get trade-in credit PLUS a $300 JB coupon to redeem on a new Google Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro."

Works out better than Telstra Day deal if you have an eligible phone to trade in.

The original prices for the 128GB phones at JB start at $999 for the Pixel 6 and $1299 for the Pixel 6 Pro not including shipping.

Edit 08-04: JB has dropped the price of Pixel 6 Pro by $200. Changed the title to make it clearer. Thanks EatingMug20

Edit 12-04: Pixel 6 Pro discounted price has expired and it is back to $1298 before the bonus trade in voucher.

Up to $400 off on OPPO find x5 series
Up to $450 off Samsung galaxy s22

The trade in steps are bit tidious.

  • Is there an expiration date on the trade-in bonus voucher?

    • bonus $300 coupon only available until 18th April and coupon expires 21st April

      • Thanks. Got a trade-in value of $50 for my moto g8 power lite.

  • Now ALL Pixel 6 Pro are $200 off, great deal…

    • JB give us $100-$200 off the 6 and I'm in!

  • So my P30 Pro worth $75 will give me a $300 coupon and I can get a Pro for $375 off?

    • Yes. So 6 Pro 128GB 1099 - 75 - 300 = 724

    • Yes

  • Anyone know if there are any issues on stacking this with the $69/m for 12m plan and its $300 voucher?
    Looking at the math:

$350 trade in for my S20+
    +
    $300 from this trade-in voucher
    +
$300 voucher from the 12m phone plan

    =
    $950 credit

    That gives me a $49 Pixel 6, or a $149 Pixel 6 Pro

    • I went in today and can confirm this was all fine to stack together on the Pixel (but can't be stacked on the Samsung S22 deals).

      So - I just got a Pixel 6 Pro for $149

      • $300 voucher from the 12m phone plan >>>I can't find this promo on their website.
Do you know if this available on all stores and when it will expire? I can only go to store sometime next week.
        TIA

      • Well it depends… If you were going to spend $69 a month on a plan then you got it for $149 + the value of the s21+ ($500?) = $649.

        For those of us that would spend $100ish/year for our calls+data, that deal is more like $877 (12 months x $69 + $149 - $100 (expense of a cheap 12 month plan)) + $500 (value of s21+) = $1377 for a P6Pro.

  • Hmm wondering if I should upgrade my 4.5yr old IPhone 8 Plus, trade in value is $190.

  • Out of curiosity, what is the best way to qualify for the minimum trade-in value? A 2014 Iphone 6 is 0, but a 2013 Ipad Mini 2 is already 60.

I was wondering what would be the cheapest way of getting something that is accepted for the 10$ threshold.

I got the $20 value for my Pixel4, 64GB, said it has multiple scratches and software problems

  • wow! trade in value for Pixel 6 is only $330. I was thinking trading my pixel 5 and get the 6 then trade it in when the 7 comes out but by then its only worth ~$300. not really worth it i reckon.

  • Looks like a really good deal to me, but make sure you use the same name all the way through from the square trade to JB HIFI

My order was cancelled coz of "security" reasons when I used a debit card under my relative's name. Finally, it was resolved after a call to JB, but still…

    • I think I am having similar issue because my name on credit card doesn’t exactly match my ID. It’s been more than a day and my trade in request has no progressed at all.

Who in JB hifi did you call? Is it just the standard online sales? (I can’t find phone number for Square Trade)

      • I didn't call the Square Trade, I called JB directly. The phone number was just one of those in the Help & Support section. Pretty sure it was 135244

Had to wait for 20 min or so, but the lady I spoke with resolved the issue in 2 hours or so. I was in a hurry coz my second phone died the day before this deal was posted and I really asked to expedite.

  • I'm thinking of trading in a P4XL for $130.
What happens after going through the process with Square trade?
Does square trade send you a voucher to use at JB Hifi online or in store?
    Do I get 2 vouchers for $130 + $300 or 1 voucher for $430?

    Thanks.

You get a code for $300 and they send you a gift card for the trade in value immediately after signing up to the trade. They take your credit card info, if your device varies in condition or you do not complete the trade they deduct the value of the difference up to the entire amount of the gift card from your credit card.

      • Wonder how much my credit card will get deducted for if I decide not to complete the trade in.

        • +1

should be the whole trade-in value

mine was valued only at $20 (Pixel 4, 64GB - stated that it has multiple scratches and some software problems, which is true)

I wasn't really looking for the trade-in value, but rather I was there for this $300 coupon, so even if they take these $20 off my card - still a good deal. Probably the best strategy is to lower your trade-in value as much as possible, get the coupon from JB hifi, and then just sell your old device on FB or elsewhere. They won't give you a good trade-in price anyways.

          • @rambojack: Thanks rambo. I ordered one. Was tossing up between sorta sunny 128gb or the 256gb black. And went black instead. My old 4XL 64GB kept having storage issues. As much as I think black is a boring colour…I went safe :-)

  • Just wondering for those who did not send in their device, do they deduct the coupon value from your credit card?

  • Wondering if I should pull the trigger on this. I wanted a new phone but so many people are complaining about Pixel 6 bugs :/

  • Just got a question samsung is doing 450$ tradin credit is there a particular device that is needed to be traded in and ive got an android device id like to trade how long is that 450 credit trade valid till

  • Waited too long, the Pixel 6 Pro's prices have gone back up.

  • So if I used my partners IMEI (my phone worth $0) and don't send it in, I will get the $300 and theyll take back the coupon.
Does it matter that the phone is in his name?
    thanks

    • So from what I've gathered, they'll charge the card you give them for the trade in value you saved (ie $40 trade in value, $40 will be charged onto your card later), but you get to keep the $300 coupon regardless. That's what I've done for 2 Pixel 6's, one for myself one as a present for another. Also you'll need to enter a phone or device with a value of $10 or more, $0 won't work.

      • Can you confirm if this works? i dont want to return my old phone.

  • +1

Just want to confirm if everyone who did NOT send in their trade-in device, only had the trade-in value deducted from their credit card, and are not being 'made to' send in their device which they had no intention of doing anyway?

    • I can confirm I only had the trade in value deducted from my credit card. Happy days.
