      I assume he means if this can be attached to the wall in a non-destructive way, e.g. adhesive, as to not damage the property he is renting.

    I've use plenty of temp devices rentals.
    I end up skipping the cheap double sided tape supplied and going with a couple of 3M strips.

    It's more expensive, but less expensive than repairing the wall or spending several hours breaking off the adhesive.
