You need a student email address though right? Anyway around this?
I recently bought my wife a macbook pro for her uni. She has a legitimate edu.au account and use case.
I bought it from the edu store but not once was I asked to verify the email and I didn't even use her edu email address to purchase it. I simply used her Outlook.com email address and only paid the edu pricing.
Not sure if it worked for some other reason but in my case, they didn't even check.
Nope
You can also order from the AOC store, which is even cheaper. You don't need an EDU address. ($1631.30 for 512 GB and $1294.70 for 256 GB.)
Still pretty fast but it has been out for 18 months or so now? Time for the M2!
Realistically M2 will probably be 8-15% better ipc, a complete chassis redesign would be a welcome upgrade to wait for.
Paid 1500 for 256gb yesterday at jb, spewing
Return it or ask for price match, then. Sometimes they do allow laptop returns.
What’s the reason for return though
Same price as EDU store everyday. Actually the 256GB is $10 cheaper.
