payed 10 bucks from eb games from memory during a sale and still haven't played it lol.

$17 is a bargain for how much game you get with No Man's Sky.

    And VR!

    • +3

Launch of that game killed it (similar to New World), it's amazing how much time and investment has gone into that game since launch. Been playing No Man's Sky lately and loving it.

      • +2

its a shame. but at the same time, if it wasn't of the fiasco, i wouldn't have known about NMS. I was looking between elite dangerous or star citizen…. but i didn't like MMO, just want some space ship flying thingy. NMS ended up my long time game for years now.. just kick back , mine some asteroids or discover a new planet after a day's work.

Does it still have the dick dinosaurs? Else it's a hard pass from me.

        • +1

There are multiple phallic inspired animals roaming around some of the planets.

          • +4

@phroghollow: Thanks, I just bought the game; time to blow some dicks :)

            • +2

@RedditUser1: Let us know how hard the game is, and if the constant grinding is tough to swallow.

    • +1

Right after it launched I picked it up for $10 in the bargain bin. Picked a few up for friends too at the time. Such an incredible game, and as far as I know it has the biggest open world map of any game easily.

      • It definitely has an essentially infinite open world. My only issue was that each planet was a bit…bland. After the first 30 or so, they were kinda variations of the same. It needs a lot more big stuff, caves, rivers etc. Each 2km square patch on a world feels like another 2km patch.

I've still stuck about 40 hours into it…but I'm definitely half explorer, half builder…and the Explorer part of me wanted a bit more.

To clarify I paid $50 for the game and was just not at all disappointed…honestly I didn't even mind he launch version. Wasn't what they promised…but intentionally ignored all the release news for a better surprise, so it felt good to me.

    • If you have vr and a pc that can run this BUY this… it's freaking awesome!!!!

Preowned Immortals Fenyx Rising for Xbox for $10. Don't mind if I do.

  • If you have eBay plus, you can use the monthly one off $5 coupon, works out better than this voucher.

  • just to confirm - owning the physical copy of a PS4/5 game doesn't give you download rights in the PS store?

    • Yes. You'll have to insert the disc every time.

You still have the option to purchase the game digitally though.

  • +2

Is Cyberpunk worth getting? I've just read that the developer's have pushed out a massive new update for new gen consoles but it's mostly bug fixes.

    • +4

It's a lot better now. Worth it for sure

    • -1

At $26.10, they just need to move the decimal point one hop to the left and it will reflect good bang-for-buck IMHO.

    • +1

Its not any better, its the same game but runs smoother. It has always been a great game, people just had way too high expectations for it following Witcher 3

      • to be fair, roach made the game better by 3000%
horses in general. there's no horses in cyberpunk.

games with horses hit different.. like rdr2….

      • a lot of people tends to forget what a buggy mess Witcher 3 was at launch too

  • I had $5 off voucher from ebay so it was $14 for No Man's Sky.

Be aware of the preowned games, last one I got was a a beat up disc only, no case. I paid $1 only but making a trip to the store to be handed that was pretty annoying.
The neg is for EB Games, not the deal.

    • last one I got was a a beat up disc only, no case

You would have seen that at the checkout and still decided to proceed.

I paid $1 only but making a trip to the store to be handed that was pretty annoying.

Your neg would be valid if you walked away from the deal. But you didn't. And to be honest if I paid a $1 I would be happy to have it in a brown paper bag.

You got a bargain. Be happy. Live life my friend.

      • +1

It didn't state that at checkout.
I didn't walk away as I had made the effort to go to the store to pick it up. Walking away with $1 coin was worse, but it's still not what I paid for.
They were very apologetic and said they should have included the case but couldn't find it in store.

Hence a negative experience got a negative vote.

        Valid reasons for Negative:
        Issue with retailer

        • A Google review or Facebook post for the specific store may have been more suitable.

OP has put a bit of effort into his post by providing links, different buying option and ways to get some of these games even cheaper. So it seems unfair that his/her deal should cop the neg vote based on your experience with the company and for a product unrelated.

          • +1

@cheepo: Fair point, that's why I stated in my first post that the Neg is not directed at the OP. It was to bring people's attention that EB Games preowned items may not meet expectations.

Either way it's irrelevant as the people have spoken and my neg has been revoked, moving on.

      • +2

You would have seen that at the checkout

I challenge this assertion. I've purchased seemingly complete pre-owned Switch games from EB that have been delivered in a plain case with a generic cover. This was not disclosed anywhere in the listing or at checkout.

        • -1

Yours was delivery. That I can understand

This one they went. They saw. They purchased.

Again though. For a $1. Really??

            Gotchya

Again though. For a $1. Really??

As a game collector it would still piss me off. And for the 25mins to/from the shop - plus 10mins of queuing and service - I value my time at significantly more than $1/hr.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: Thanks for understanding and capturing exactly my views 😃

          • +1

@bemybubble: I had already purchased and the change to "disc only" was advised collection as this was click and collect. After a 25 minute each way trip to the shop.

Yes I could have said give me my dollar back, but I still wanted to play the game, and the hour or so of my time wasted was a sunk cost at that point.

If you don't think this is a bad customer experience I don't think we will see eye to eye.

            • -1

@cook99: $1 is a lot of money, I can only assume it took weeks n weeks to save up? Imagine how much the store made on the game too.
I remember when I was young how much one whole dollar could buy, a house, a car, a boat and a ring for the new wife and a little left over for retirement. For entertainment, well only had a stick and a hoola hoop to play with.

              • +1

                @[Deactivated]: Cool story.
                Clearly you missed the point.

                • @cook99: Yes I must have, because $1 is a lot of money.

                  • +1

@[Deactivated]: The disappointment was the hour wasted going to pickup something that was not what was advertised. The fact it only cost $1 irrelevant.

                    • -1

@cook99: Not a problem, I accept your apology and I forgive you.

@[Deactivated]: Wow, did you just come up with that?
                            Impressive.
Time to go away now troll.

                            • -1

@cook99: Calls me a troll, cries on OzBargains about a whole dollar.

  • Seems like some stores not selling cyberpunk day 1 edition? Or is everything still day 1 edition? Haha

  • Cyberpunk is also $24 pre owned at EB.

    • I can only imagine how many preowned copies they need to ditch. Given the state of the code on the disc, they should just work with the distributor to swap all of the physical media for an appropriate number/type of download codes and flog those instead.

It looks like EB Games have got eBay Plus back on their listings, so you will be able to get free postage if you have eBay Plus, to save picking it up. That wasn't there when I posted it and had been missing for a while.

  • It looks like it is out of stock on Ebay for the Xbox version. Does anyone know what the likely hood of EB Games restocking it on Ebay? Thank you :)

    • +1

Slight chance, will tag you if I see it back in stock.
