Just a general fyi: Singapores waitlist system for their award flights is terrible.
I waitlisted for a business class flight and was never notified that a few seats were made available.
I only found out a seat was available because I constantly searched online, i would never have gotten that seat if I relied on their waitlist system.
Booked that seat instantly and then cancelled the waitlist request a couple days later (still no invitation or notification about the available seats).
Searching for award flights manually is the best way to go in my experience.
Agreed happened to me too. But I didn't book and cancel, I called up and told them about it and they confirmed my flight.
