Ask for the address of manufacturer and tannery. There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.

I live in the hills to the east of Perth and Kangaroos are taking over. They're a PITA basically. I don't think that they should be culled as I live next to a National Park and this is their home but they can be challenging at times. They're a major road hazard - I've hit several - and they will destroy your plants if they can get into your yard. They're incredible animals and part of Australia.
This is a good use of their pelts.
