Low price on POCO's latest budget phone (only Cool Blue available) and a cheaper alternative to the new mid-range POCO X4 Pro 5G. In comparison the M4 Pro offers better WiFi/GPS/Storage speeds, better videos/photos and offers Widevine L1 DRM. Check out the Techtablets review for an indepth comparison.

Featuring a 6.43" FHD AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3, 6GB RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2 Storage, Widevine L1 DRM for Netflix/Amazon HD, NFC, MIUI 13 for POCO (Android 11), 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, 64MP/8MP/2MP Rear Camera, 16MP Front Camera, 4G with B28 and Dual SIM, IR Blaster, fingerprint reader and powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 Octa-Core CPU.

While the presence of a MediaTek CPU may be a downside for some, it still offers mid-range performance and the other features like Widevine L1, AMOLED display and NFC make up for it in my opinion.

      Be smart. Be chain aware.

        You mean Chainese don't you?

Imagine being this unaware of yourself

  • Can this phone be rooted?

    • New release so I don't think anyone has tried yet. The older M4 Pro 5G variant can be so I'm sure this will be rootable.

I don't think the hole is big enough.

      • +7

Perhaps the tool is small enough.

      • hahaha

      • Not with that attitude.

The real question is how long it will take you to make enough profits from Fuel Lock to cover the cost of this phone :)

    • +2

Yes, all xiaomi (and poco) phones can have their booloader unlocked so they will be able to be rooted.

  • Does this have a headphone jack?

    • +1

      Yes there is.

That's a lot of features for under $250.

    • +2

Yep. I generally refuse to spend more than $250 on a phone (current phone is a $215 64GB Xiaomi Mi-A3 from November 2019), and I pulled the trigger on this one just now. Hopefully it delivers a couple of years of reasonably fast, hassle-free use like the last one.

I'll also observe that a global spike in inflation (and the potential for China to do something later this year that the West punishes) means that phones are likely to increase in price in the coming months.

I think you'll be happy with this. My limit is similar, it's $300. My daily driver phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from the first half of 2018. Still a solid phone four years on.

it’s a lot of phone for the money ….some people are meditek haters , but some people just want to use a phone until the battery ages or android and patches are end of life and then buy a new model , they don’t root it, don’t load other android builds …..just use a phone …… and snapdragon vs mediatek makes no difference …..

    • Preeeeetty much!

Tried to checkout, got the below message:

This coupon can only be used 200 times.

The code ADMITAD2203 gives a $19.26 discount if you can't get TABBY20 to work.

      • Sadly doesn't decrease the price, it actually goes to $320 for some reason when I apply the code…

Damn, you're right! Was working yesterday, sorry friend. :(

  • Anymore codes work for this phone on banggood?
