  • I was looking at heat pump options but they seem to take 3 hours to dry clothes versus about an hour for a regular dryer. Do they therefore offer much of a saving?

    • Have a look on YouTube they'd a few videos where people have done scientific testing but basically yes even though it takes longer you are still having at least 50% & more per load. The highest efficiency ones use about 20% compared to an equivalent standard model but prices really start to jump up if you want one of the latest highest efficiency ones. If it lasts 5+ years it'll virtually pay for itself but depends on your rates, how often you use it ect ect but I think of you are using it at least a couple times per week and are paying 20c+ p/kWh you can be confident you'll be better off after 5years

    • I got a Beko 7kg heat pump dryer (slightly more expensive) take around 1.5hrs to dry each full load, add around 10 minutes extra dry cycle and My washing machine is 1200rpm.

  • What are essatay like?

  • I use CHIQ CHIQ Ozone wash

have been using this for 2 years now and it's the best investment so far… yes it takes a long time to dry but is still cost effective that other normal dryers

These guys seem to have a couple brand names
For the same appliance. Bought mine as teka. Apparently one of the biggest European manufacturers or whatever but growing up in Europe never heard of them. Quality is average. But dries well and is cheap.

    • Planning to buy the Teka, could you elaborate on the average quality ?

      • The buttons are a little lose after 2-3 years and makes a little bit noise. But dries well. Takes ages.

  • “The item does not post to Australia”

  • A load of laundry takes about 90 mins in a standard dryer for my clothes to dry (jeans, jumpers, shirts, towels). How long would it take using one of these?

    • I don't have any personal experience but based on my research and from asking others you are looking at 3-4hrs (about 2-2.5x longer) but I'm also keen to know if anyone has personal experience eg. For a full load of towels or linens which usually takes the longest and is about as extreme as anything I'd be using it for.

  • "Postage:
Doesn't post to Sydney Metro | See details

    Located in:
    Sydney, Australia "

                 Well that makes sense...
