Yes, better than using integrated graphics lol.
Better than a black screen. AMD CPUs don't have built in graphics.
5600G does.
Just for comparison/interest re price rise impact in the past year, I bought a new RTX 2060 for $449 in January 2021.
And for another comparison, I got a 2060 Super for $470 in November 2019 🥺
I bought my Giga 2070 from Computer Alliance on a boxing Day sale for $500 and something I think back in 2019 - crazy
Yep got a 2070 super plus a free 1tb ssd (sold for 140 bucks) for $680.
@MDSUXKS: Wowza!
And I sold my 1060 on ebay for $450 just 2 months ago…the money went towards the purchase of 3060 for $840+.
It's really mind blowing.
At least that 2060 is better value than the just released 3050 at its inflated price..
But I would still get the better 6600
That's the sound of me crying in the corner after selling my 2080 SUPER back in Sept 2020 for $780
We know a song about that…
That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my 2080 Super
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know why I did it
Oh no I've said too much
I haven't said enough…Who else just sung that out loud and embarrassed themselves in public?
Oof.
I remember the good old days when I used walk into Umart at anytime and all graphics cards were instock and at RRP. It almost feels like a dream now.
One day we'll tell our grand kids about those glory days.
Does this compare favourably to a 3050 @ $599? Never mind that both should be below 500.
The RTX2060 is slightly faster than RTX 3050.
Will be worth to squeeze out a bit more to get RX6600XT for the RTX2060?
Yes, Yes and Yes. The 6600xt is much better.
Unless you wanted to get some streaming done, nvnec encoder on the rtx2060 is quite a bit better than amd equv.
OK so for streaming & video editing, still nVidia is better I guess?
Streaming wise nvidia cards are better hands down. Not sure about video editing however. The 6600xt is a generation newer than the 2060, after all.
Ether bags hodlers hodl and wait for a short squeeze.
Hodlers still waiting for 3080 to drop to $800.
They're dreaming.
Nah not at all. Should be able to pick one up at that price by 2024.
@stephendt: I laughed, and then cried.
It is almost impossible to wait the price of RTX 3080 drop back to the initial release price considering the inflation. I reckon $ 1,300 - $ 1,500 is a reasonable price for brand new after ETH 2.0. Second hand market will be flooded if GPU mining is ended.
Lol, glad I bought my 2nd hand 1080 for 400 like 3 years ago
such crazy world, soon we might need to pay captital gain tax on selling 2nd hand graphic card…
What I really want to know is who the hell is upvoting a 2.5 year old card as a bargain at this price?
it's also a 3060
Thanks, bought one
