Dyson DC34 Animal Pro ~ €183.87 ($232 AUD) from Amazon.fr Pre-Order

110

First post so please be kind. I received an email from amazon.fr because I bought a Vacuum (Dyson DC35)from them last time around. I didn't complete the check out but it appears to be free shipping. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems a good deal.

My French is limited so my translation might not be correct but..

Commandez-le maintenant et nous vous l'enverrons dès qu'il sera disponible.

Use this unit to command your pet to do the house maintenance.

If that's the case I will preorder two. Thanks OP.

    • Sold.

    • The translation isn't correct. According to Google translator…

Commandez-le maintenant et nous vous l'enverrons dès qu'il sera disponible.

Order now and we will send it when it becomes available.

No where near as funny. :D

      • Thanks stix. That makes more sense :-)

    its not free shipping…
total is 183.87 Euro, which equates to about $232AUS

so you save about $70 from a quick google search of local prices
    (http://www.billyguyatts.com.au/dyson-dc34-animal-max-handhel…)

    • Plus $10.40 shipping to 2000 = $282.40 ;))

  • Use Google Chrome. It will translate (well) on the fly. Great for viewing the German, Italian and Spanish Amazon sites as well.

  • I purchased a similar unit from the amazon.fr the last time mentioned on the OZ……..these things are fantastic
except it was the unit with the turbo head and the vacuum wand, was $200 cheaper than local $

  • i can understand for local free shipping, but international, i am a bit skeptic

  • you can use dyson vacuums from overseas in australia? does it accept australian voltage?

    • Overseas….is a broad question, different countries=different voltages, that said, many power supplies are now multi voltage especially goods supplied throughout Europe. Dyson from France was fine.

    • I bought mine from the same site. Voltages aren't a problem for these smart chargers. However you'll still need a plug adapter like this. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251042…

Agreed - just be warned the Dyson 2 year warranty may not apply if you buy a machine with a non local serial number (these all start with EU etc). My Amazon France DC-35 turned up DOA, I called Dyson and after entering the serial number into their system they confirmed no warranty.

I took the machine in to the service centre as I wanted to get it fixed (as I figured the cost to fix it would still leave me ahead in terms of total cost of ownership), when I collected the machine yesterday I asked the tech "whats the damage" and he looked at me weirdly and said "what are you talking about this machine is under 2 years old so it was fixed under warranty" - I thanked him and took the machine home.

So now i'm not sure if Dyson "tell" customers - no warranty, but then approve warranty repairs anyway in order to maintain their good name - OR - whether this authorised repairer didn't check the serial number properly?

Anyone else have any experience with Dyson warranty claims from non locally purchased products?

    • Do you happen to know if the Dyson Hot Fans are multivoltage? They are just $299 from Amazon US site (compared with $549 here in Aust). Would definitely consider but cannot find the power requirements.

      • it says its 320 on amazon us? and another 60 for delivery? am i missing something as im after a hot fan.

      • US fans have 110 voltage. You have to buy from UK or Germany to get Aus suitable voltage unless the gadget is auto sense or switchable. UK or Germany mean you have to change the plug or use a travel adaptor.

    • Yep, just need an adapter so it fits into the AU outlet

  • Is amazon France no longer doing the DC35?

The website also has 50% off their DC 32 Origin model, from what I can tell, it seems to be one of the higher end models. Is this a good deal?

    http://www.amazon.fr/Dyson-Origin-Aspirateur-sans-1400/dp/B0…

  • I bought one a couple of days ago, and today got the email that it has been sent. Delivery expected this Friday.

The check out price is as below:

    Articles: EUR 136.27
    Delivery: EUR 37.60
    ——-
    Subtotal: EUR 173.87

    • That's about $220 shipped. Good price.

      • Yeah, just imagine the price if delivery was free. Aus RRP are rip offs!!!

  • anyone know what the deal with warranty is if buying a dyson from Amazon.fr?

    • safest to assume you have none, unless you want to send it back to amazon.fr if something goes wrong…
